Hampton's does poor quality work at inflated prices. My car was returned with a visible dent, scratch and paint flecks.

Although I had a written quote, my final bill was 50% higher than quoted.

Add to this, bad customer service and argumentative counter staff.

Do yourself a favor, and go elsewhere for your body work.

My husband and I both had our cars repaired at Hampton's. The window in the door they "repaired" will not roll more than halfway down. On my husband's vehicle, they forgot to replace the door handle. I will go somewhere else next time.

I would never recommend them to anyone in town. There are far better shops that do body work nearby that are actually a lot cheaper. Nicer bunch of people as well.

They towed my car today. Norman, their rude and out of line tow truck driver, was unfortunately the one they sent to "help" me. Because i asked a couple question he got up in my face to tell me i ask more question than a woman!! I can't say what else he said due to the vulgerness.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Going back Monday, so i'll update.

They have gotten a lot better on the towing end since they got rid of Morgan Moore.

I experienced major quality and safety issues directly due to repairs performed on my vehicle by this company. My vehicle was declared a total loss by insurance as a result of the repairs performed by this company.

Hampton's Body Shop charged me double the normal rate and an unreasonable amount of storage. I walked in their shop right after my vehicle was towed in there and their staff argued with me about writing a repair estimate for insurance. Hampton's Body Shop never informed me of their towing charges or the amount they charge to store the vehicle as required by law. I watched their tow truck driver release the hand brake and jam the transmission in gear, this tow truck driver never secured the vehicle tires to the lift arms. When I did get my vehicle back, the towing charge was actually more than the salvage value of the vehicle. Hampton's tow truck driver failed to secure the vehicle from rolling (the transmission was in neutral and the brake was released) and drove their tow truck off the parking pad onto my lawn for no apparent reason leaving deep ruts in the grass. Hampton's Body Shop will not get any of my Business or a recommendation. I feel that Hampton's Body Shop "Bent me Over" on a simple fender bender accident.
I contacted the NC Attorney General about their "Unfair" business practices.

took my truck to mack brown to get the doors replaced.and a spot on the bed fixed. it is a [dodge] of course, but ross dodge does not do body work. so they sent it to mack brown. they said they would have it for about 7 days. they kept it for 16 days. they forgot to put the trim back in the windows. they said they would put a new bed side on the bed, not use bondo because i did not want bonda in my truck. it is a 2005. but they used bondo instead of doing what they said. i wanted them to leave the pin strips off and put the 4x4 stickers back on. so they put the pin strips back on and left the 4x4 stickers off. and the guy i talked to wrote all this down. so i have come to this conclusion. as always if you want some thing done write. do it your self. if you cant do it yourself, just live with it. dont take it to mack browns or to hamptons.

I just got ran off the road by one of the wrecker drivers because he was in such a hurry to get to another wreck that another wrecker had already got the cars involved in the wreck off the road. He didn't even have his flashers and lights on. He cut in front of me and I had to slam on my brakes and run off the road to avoid him. It's pretty stupid and careless to cause a wreck as you are going another wreck that you are not even needed. So trust me, Hampton's will never have my business again because if they are careless enough to hire drivers who can't drive and doesn't watch where they going, wonder how careless they are about hiring mechanics? Also, the wrecker driver needs to stay off the phone if he can't do any better than that.

Wrecker drivers do not have a time period to get to a scene. Maybe they will lose it to another company, but tough shit. Wrecker drivers, just like volunteer firefighters, don't have the authority to drive recklessly to get to a scene. Wanna drive fast and flash your lights? Become a cop. Oh, wait, you have to make it through high school for that.

First of all, I was not on my phone and I wasn't texting. I was driving home and he cut in front of me. Second, I do know what I am talking about, wreckers do not have a certain amount of time to get to an accident. Third, you need to shut the hell up and learn how to spell before you respond to another quote, and if I had not been wanting to get home to my child, I would have stopped and had a little talk to the state trooper right along with that so called wrecker driver. There were several people that saw it that I know. So dumb-ass, stop acting like you know everything about me and how I was driving. The guy was an ass and he run me off the road because he was anxious to be the first one on the scene for what little excitement that he has in his life, what the loser didn't realize is that he wasn't even needed. So, the next time that happens, and any irresponsible wrecker driver does that too me again, I will not slam on my brakes and run off the road. He can pay to have my car fixed and painted.

Haha, you said it perfectly :) I think the wrecker driver that ran me off the road thinks he can do whatever he wants. I am just glad that I didn't have my daughter with me. Also, the idiot that responded to my response, has no clue, for one he can't spell and two, like you said they are just like volunteer firefighters. They have no authority.

I hope you were not the one that ran me off the road then. The man that ran me off the road was older man with white/gray hair and was too busy talking on his phone to pay attention to the cars he was cutting off.

Amy Amy Amy GET OVER YOURSELF!! Are you now the spelling police? What an overreaction to his comment. Makes me wonder if you are over reacting about the driver? Just saying

A nightmare all the way around. It took me 2 months to get my truck in their shop, after it was damaged by Leonard's Sheds putting in a spray-in bedliner. They said it would take 1 week, which it ended up taking 2. After the first day, they called and said that the 2 passenger side doors would need painting. I said this was covered in the estimate I got earlier - were they trying to scam me for more money? After a week, they said that it would cost more, because my long-bed extended cab truck wouldn't fit in their spray booth, and they'd have to take off the bed - is this another scam for more money, and as big of an outfit that they are, wouldn't they know this from looking at my truck, and why would they have such a small spray booth? I told them I didn't care, because Leonard's Sheds insurance was paying for it. When I picked up the truck, it was filthy, both inside and out. Sanding dust covered everything inside. There are dents that were never fixed - just painted over, and they used some kind of solvent or something that melted the plastic on my mud flaps and my rear bumper, making them white. They even left masking tape on in the bed. I expected much more from them, due to the size of their operation. These guys talk a good game, but their end product is far from professional, and one wonders about their questionable tactics of adding substantial costs, after giving an estimate. I find more flaws in the work every time I look at it - I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for it out of my own pocket.
