My jaw hit the floor, too. He must be some little rich kid because the rest of us would already be in prison for armed robbery.

He claimed he did it because he had taken 20 Xanax pills lol in a 24 hr period and drank. That would kill most people I would think lol. The guy was addicted or something, said he did not remember even robbing the store! Believe that!

I call BS on his story. Plus, when is the last time someone used the excuse "I was drunk, I don't remember" to get out of a DUI?
No doubt

This is definitely some back room deal. How do you rob a store, admit to being tanked on script meds, and walk away a free man with no record? If he would have been a local kid, with a joint of pot, he'd be in the electric chair by now. It amazes me that our local legal system thinks people don't see this, or maybe that just don't care or have to worry about what we think..

Give the kid a break. He probably deserved more than he got but they gave him a second chance. Do you really think he is a violent felon and he should pay for the rest of his life?

Yeah. People do much less and have to carry the label of "felon".

Have you ever been robbed? Not like something stolen while you were not home but actually robbed?
yep

Considering that Armed Robbery is considered a VIOLENT crime and a FELONY, yes I would consider him a VIOLENT FELON.
