As for that PROJECTED SURPLUS, how much surplus did we have on January 20, 2009?

I drove the loop again just one hour ago. I watched for the help wanted sign , but I must have missed it, or it was so small I couldn't see it or something. The only other place I can imagine would have been Lenoir Mirror, but I didn't see a sign there either. I need the name of this establishment so that I can help them get the word out. If they are not getting applicants, its because people don't know about them. I have had people begging me for work. Unfortunately, I am down sizing .

Obamacare too much for ya? Downsizing? What do you do? Why are you "downsizing"? Let me guess, it's Bush's fault. Send them to Bernhardt. They are hiring.

After a year and 40 votes , the republikans are tired of voting to end Obamacare. Now they are going to do something productive, finally. The republican House of Representatives plans to spend next year trying to prove that Obama choreographed the Miley Cyrus MTV VMA performance.

Wrong. That performance was no doubt directed by Bill Clinton...

A new Louisiana study has identified a fast spreading and alarming new mental illness called R.O.D.S.(Republican Obama Derangement Syndrome)
Symptoms include: 1. Hating education
2. Belief in the theory that Obama was born in the hostile foreign nation of Hawaii
3. Blames Obama for everything including the slow response to Katrina

A new study in Texas has indicated that no one in Louisiana has sense enough to conduct a study.

This was refreshing and from Time Mag of all places."The Clintons Need a Restart" "This has been an annoying summer for the Clintons. There was the spectacle of Hillary Clinton's closest aide Huma Abedin standing by her man, the infantile former Congresspervert Anthony Weiner--an unfortunate reminder of the interns of yesteryear. There was the splashback over whether Lawrence Summers, a former Clinton Treasury Secretary, should become chairman of the Federal Reserve Board--an unfortunate reminder of the feckless Clintonian attitude toward financial deregulation, which led rather directly to the Great Recession of 2008. And to top it off, there was a New York Times exposé of moral and fiscal slovenliness at the Clinton Foundation--an unfortunate reminder of the way the Clintons too often go about their business, combining great works in the world with shameless world-class fundraising.

All this while former Secretary Clinton was getting her ducks in a row, preparing, no doubt, for another run at the presidency in 2016. And all that as the political book of the summer, Mark Leibovich's This Town, was providing the rest of the country with a hilarious excoriation of Washington's incestuous culture of money, media, lobbying and paralysis." Finally someone comes out a talks about the Democrats in Washington.

The Clinton presidency caused the 2008 recession? Isn't that kind of like the Louisianans blaming Obama for the slow response to Katrina? Looks like R.O.D.S. has struck the editorial board it Time.

"Other manufacturers, such as Sturm, Ruger & Company and Beretta, have sought out firearm friendly states for their expansion plans, with Ruger opening a new plant in North Carolina. Even Remington, which has built firearms in Ilion, New York, for over 150 years, is reported to be looking to move part or all of that operation to a gun-friendly state." We can only hope Remington will move here as well.

Drove the loop 2 times today. Could not find the 'Now Hiring" sign. No wonder they don't get many applicants. They can't find the sign either.
Dang wrote:
<quoted text>Are there not a couple new companies moving to Caldwell county? I see a "Now Hiring" sign all the time at a furniture company on "the loop". A customer where I work, works there, he said they don't get many people applying. I'm sure that's the Republicans fault as well. Just for grins, when was the last time YOU were in the library? Did Caldwell county Republicans have anything to do with those buildings or did the Democrats do it all?

Why don't you give us the link, then? You can go to the page of the site, but when you try to enter it says "Temporarily unavailable". Again, put on the link and let's see the content of the site. Did you try to enter? Probably not.
Either you want to pretend that is not there or you are a typical lazy socialist, looking for someone else to do the work for you.

No, the sign was not there to begin with. That is the old republikan BS line --that they need workers and no one will apply because everyone, except themselves of course, are lazy shiftless deadbeats. Big me ,little everyone else.
They tell this lie so often and for so many years, that they begin to actually believe their own lie. That is the identifying characteristic of a republican, believing their own lies..

Like NC governor ALEC McCrory claiming that the cushy $85 K jobs he created for two of his inexperienced 24 year old campaign workers was open to other applicants. Like NC governor ALEC McCrory claiming he often talked with the moral Monday protestors, when in fact he never did that. Hence the "wheres Waldo Pat" jokes. Newspapers politely ask if the governor has a "truth problem" which is pc talk for bald faced liar which is also synonymous with republikan.

When George Dubya was president he asked a serious education question . "Is our children learning?"
Obviously Dubya had not and obviously too many in NC have not, as evidenced by their continuing to vote for republikans.

"Signed into law by President George W. Bush on January 8, 2002" No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, The legislation was proposed by President George W. Bush on January 23, 2001. It was coauthored by Representatives John Boehner (R-OH), George Miller (D-CA), and Senators Edward Kennedy (D-MA) and Judd Gregg (R-NH). The United States House of Representatives passed the bill on May 23, 2001 (voting 384–45),[6] and the United States Senate passed it on June 14, 2001 (voting 91–8).[7] President Bush signed it into law on January 8, 2002." I hope you won't argue with a Kennedy, the pinnacle of Democrats.
