Well that's an appropriate name you have. Yes I am a Lance supporter now that I know he is running but even if he wasn't I am still concerned about local political races like anyone else should be.

Say what you want but Lance Wilson will get my vote and myself and most of my community feel the same.Jones should have to stand and give an account for HIS employees. CCSO should have to obey the same laws that everyone else does!!!

Absolutely right, Independent Voter. You hit the proverbial nail on the head. If Jones is the "Proven Leader" he claims to be then why did he allow these things to go on? Why were these people allowed to resign instead of firing them? All a resignation is is a slap on the wrist and they can go get another job doing the same thing. Members of the Republican Party on the whole aren't corrupt but the so called "Executive Committee" is loaded with crooks. It's time for the true Members of the Republican Party to stand up and say "No More" and show these crooks the door. Good moral candidates like this Lance Wilson is exactly what we need to clean house and bring some sense of order to the chaos.#morals #truth #CAC2014

Lance Wilson also single-handedly built the Rhodhiss Dam in a week using only a shovel and trowel. When he was done he then started putting all the pretty little fishey's in the brand spanking new lake that he had created.

I can't believe that the republicans in this county allow the executive committee to basically do as they please without regard to the by laws of the party. Its hard to imagine that there is this much apathy among republicans here to not even so much as question Jones and his stranglehold over the party. Jones will destroy the republican party here just like he has ccso for his own means and goals. Jones is counting on you blindly going to the polls like sheep and doing what his executive committee has ordained. Continue to fiddle while Rome burns.

The republican party here is basically in shambles as far as it's committees. The average republican voter here pays zero attention to the endorsements because they realize how biased and self serving this committee is. To make an endorsement this early in an election clearly demonstrates this group has taken no time or consideration of all the candidates considering technically they are no official candidates since the filing period has not started. How do you endorse anyone until you actually know who the candidates are. Just like everything else in the county, you give a couple people a meaningless title and suddenly they know everything. They are just a crappy little committee in a crappy little county and that's all it will ever be .

Well I guess when you don't have the intelligence or mental capacity to come up with anything clever a mom joke will do. Adolescent children are known for such things along with temper tantrums like the ones you pull on all these threads. You can change your name all you want but we know you're the same jones crybaby that always jumps up and down pitching a fit lmao. Did jones promise to hire you back after it was all over.

Which one are you, Jack or Chris? Doesn't really matter as you both are a couple of neanderthal knuckle dragging morons that will never work in law enforcement again unless your beloved leader is reelected.

Has anyone ever thought about maybe having an honest lady running for the office of sheriff? Let's give it some serious thought. After all could things within the dept and county be worse? No way! Think about it and let's come up with some canidates. Thank you.

<quoted text>I couldn't agree more that's why I will vote for Lance. I know where he stands and that he is a moral and ethical person. With all I have seen and heard out of the Sheriffs Office over the past few years even if Jones was a decent person he has allowed things to happen that he shouldn't had. The Republican party in this county is as corrupt and disgusting as it gets so I could care less what stupid letter is by his name, what does that have to do with being the top law enforcement officer in the first place.
Lance Wilson for the job ! He has always been Republican !

I am voting for Wilson but I would never have a problem with a woman running for Sheriff we just haven't had any women candidates run. I dont really see what the difference would be with man or woman as long as they do the job and are honest, that's why I am voting for Wilson. The rules changed a while back where you have to actually be a cop to run for Sheriff so that probably cuts the number of women that can run down a lot, just nowhere near as many female officers and even less that make it a long time to get the experience, it seems a lot of females get passed over for promotions in that business but I can bet Wilson wouldn't treat female officers like that just from what I know about him.

Jim is right, changes in requirements do require sheriff candidates to hold prior LEO experience. I personally would have no issue with a female sheriff. I do support Wilson because of his honestly and reputation. I believe he is honestly running as a candidate for all the right reasons. He desires to be a sheriff and not a politician. He has strong ideas on new programs and how to improve the existing system. I truly believe he can turn the CCSD around and move it in the right direction. I keep hearing reference to education but I had rather see a sheriff with experience and common sense any day. Wilson has those qualities.

Did anyone on here really expect Caldwell Republicans to be fair and honest with you in the first place? Very naive if you did. Vote for the Democratic candidate and send them a message in the future to give you a choice.

I've not heard of a democratic sheriff candidate running this time. I'm sure they will run but not sure who considering Roger will not run. Any word on who it may be?

Let's look at this a moment. Day who is chairmen of the republican executive committee pushes through an early endorsement of Alan Jones. The very next week the DA who is republican announces no charges will be filed against day in spit of sworn testimony and evidence of his misdeeds at ccso. LMAO wow really. Has anyone else put the connection together now?

Day doesn't even live in Caldwell County he lives up in Watauga in Ahole . And I don't knw why he would be supporting Jones in the first place after he hung Day out to dry.

He didn't though that's just it. He (Jones) pulled every string he had to protect Day in return for Days loyal continued service in the Republican Party inner circle, Day is still Chairman for some odd reason. If all goes well now that charges have been dropped Day will return back to CCSO after the election along with several other disgraced former Deputies. Of course the DA went along with not charging Day, Jones controls the party via Day and several other CCSO Deputies on the committee plus the DA will need Jones if his naughty behavior becomes public. It's all one big circle (jerk) for lack of a better term.
