People will probably get robbed or killed on this trail. Just look at the monon in Indy. Why are state and federal governments funding these death trails?

Way to go Mitch, just give every thing away to privititation---what a joke you and your cronies are! It worked better (and still would) as a railroad! Instead it will be unused and not maintained after the twelve mill is bled off! Ditch Mitch in 08, the worst governor this state has seen!

Ray Irvin is the Marion County Councilman who used his position as an elected official to create a government job for himself, then resigned from office to take over his own department within a department at Indy Parks. He's now doing the same thing inside INDOT.

How many people actually use these trails? I'll bet that the $12 million would more than cover a new car, 10 years of gas and a treadmill or excercise bike for each and every one of them. Trails are a phenomenal waste of public money considering how little they are used.

I used to use the trail all the time when I lived in Muncie. It was very safe. The greenway employs people to bike up and down the path on patrol. It is kept in great condition and it a treasure. The path was used by many people for exercise and fun.

Sounds like you need to get outside and enjoy some nature. We outdoor people love and use them daily.

The trail has also been there since at least 2000. However, it was not as long as it is now.

Plenty of people use that trail. Come out and join them instead of complaining.

sounds good to me. he's actually accomplishing something good for the state and not creating something to complain about on a newspaper internet forum.

When I lived in Terre Haute, I used the National Road Heritage Trail all the time and it was always packed. Same thing with the White Lick Trail in Plainfield. Don't complain about these trails; a lot of people get great use out of them. They are great and can help Indiana lose some weight.

First of all idiot, Mitch is doing a great job. Secondly, the only people what are against privitazation are communist (econ theory, not political) who want to have government take care of everything for them with no profit motive for individuals. It's called capitalism genius. Without it, we'd have the quality of life of Russia.

Rusty Shackleford---Guess some idiot has trouble with readin', writin', and rithmatic'. This idiot thought the article said nine million in state and federal funds...this idiot always thought that meant taxes that taxpayers paid (not always voluntarily). This idiot thought that meant government is taking care of everything for them (trailways). Quess being subsidized by the government is the new capitalism! Seems that government is taking care of "each according to their needs"...! Where did business 101 fail the idiot? This idiot has also determined that Mitch is still the worst guv ever, and reading his apologists comments cement that notion!

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
