As despicable and cowardly things go, it doesn't get much worse than delivering a noose to the office of a black politician.

I agree with you John, this racist ranting idiot will stop at nothing to have a reason to shout "I AM A VICTIM OF THE WHITE RACE" to anyone who will listen to her stupidity. My money is on the self mailing theory. It was pretty prevailing in the comments to the original article until it was taken down. She makes Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton look like choir boys and/or Rhodes Scholars. This reminds me of the Tawana Brawley case. But no matter, even if she is found to be the guilty party, she will still be re-elected by the blind that follow her. Can she and her son not see the public laughing stock that they are?

Didn't some professor get caught hanging a noose on her office door or something along those lines. I believe all criminals ware created equal and hate crimes serve no purpose but to perpetuate racism. Is a murderer really that much worse of a person if he kills because of race as opposed to doing it for insurance or money? The result is the same. Since hate crimes are still on the books, if this type of cowardly act is proven, I believe it should fall under the same category.

But is it illegal? Either way, I think they should do a thourough investigation of its orgins and if its found to be a product of Daisy Lynum or her cry baby, drunk driving son, they should be booted from city government and the city itself. While your opinion on the noose being sent to Ms. Lynum is valid (if it's true), I find it despicable that you would comment on this, especially so vociferously, without first investigating whether some anonymous person did it, or whether it's a staged happening. It would not surprise me in the least to learn that Ms. Lynum orchestrated this on her own, or that some rabid supporter of her racist ideology did so (with her approval). Please: you merely egg on her racist attitude, and you help keep people like her in office because of it. The only time we here about Daisy Lynum is when she's ranting about someone attacking her blackness...gimme a break.
