A whale-shaped island? Sounds like a natural land formation, right? Oh wait, Dubai has been creating islands off of their coast so more and more tourists have waterfront vacations. Call me a skeptic, but something is bound to go awry....isn't it??

"rapidly emerging as one of Orlando's biggest rivals on the global tourism stage"
Orlando is a mess of a city - The leaders, police and city officials have no idea what they are doing. The service industry is awful at best.
Ship more minimum wage jobs in to Orlando, increase that crime rate and a few years from now you can use that "waste of space" convention center as low income housing.

The only thing to go Awry Chris is that more and more tourists from all over the world will go there and not here. More and more Brits have waved goodbye to Florida and visit Dubai. The rudeness and arrogance of the welcoming Customs staff at OIA have a lot to answer for.

No we are not at War with the Middle East? Let me guess, you are one of the 85% of Americans without a passport.

Does Sea World remember the huge outcry a few years ago, when Bush was going to allow a Saudi company to handle our ports? With the war going on in the middle east, and terrorists being funded by the Saudis, are they crazy??

With all the construction in Dubai, you'd think they'd want some of our illegals.

Maybe they are crazy- but their greed takes precedence over their sanity.

A) Busch Entertainment isn't building the park for you or anyone in the U.S. They're not asking for your money, they're looking for the money from the multi-millionaires and billionaires in Dubai.

B) Do you even know where Dubai is? It's probably THE safest place in the Middle East, even Tiger Woods is designing and building his own golf course there.

Get a map and clue.

Um, how about people who draw their living from the tourism industry, much of which is fueled by western hemisphere money, money that may longer be coming in because their is an equivalent, if not better, alternative closer to their country of origin.

Hmm, maybe they care.

Yes, we are at war with Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, the Palestinian territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Yup, all of them.

Hmm, I guess I was asleep when Congress declared war Qatar, my newspaper must broken.

Going where the money is? Um yeah, that's kind of what businesses do, especially corporations. Busch Entertainment Corp. isn't exactly a "mom & pop" operation.

If you all think this is bad then you should consider american companies sell military technology to the UAE Government legally.

Its a global economy and they are our supposed friends.

Wouldn't travel to that part of the world because it's too dangerous. Also the women would have to be treated a lot better than they are now. No more (burkas).

Don't worry, they don't need your worthless dollar over there. The British and Europeans with their valuable Pound and Euros will go there instead of going to Florida. Oh and Dubai is in the UAE, it's not Saudi Arabia or Afganhistan! No burka over there!
