Would you want to be reminded of that every day you woke up? It doesnt make them heartless. First off it their property to do what they want with. Second nobody could possibly want to see that horrific site every single day of their lives.

Why don't you allow them to put the memorial in your front yard. Would you like that?

I sure would if it would help the friends and family cope and accept what has happened. That's why people do that to cope and get through each day. I only hope that they did not throw out the things left there, pics and jerseys and so on. So sorry for the folks left behind to come to grips with this tragedy. May god bless them all

I would not allow that in my front yard either after this long. Young kids coming all hours of the day just hanging around. Time to pack it in and move on. The scene of the accident holds no meaning . Go visit the cemetery.

That is how I feel. I am not at all heartless. But if it was my property its my choice. Can you imagine what this world would look like if there were memorials at the location of every death?

The owners of the property are seasonal pricks. They had a sign on the lawn "this is not a turn around" prior to this

I have to agree, it was time to pick it up. Just like the mess on the trail, Kids walk and ride bikes, on that trail to get to the park. Someone is going to trip and end up getting hit. I fully understand that the parents are in pain. No one should lose a child. But driving past there and seeing a big cross, and now a cement head stone on vienna road, is a bit much. The village needs to get this picked up.

Drove past the site where the young boy was hit, and what a shock. Someone placed a big wax candle there with all the rest of the stuff. The candle was burning and with the size of it, it would burn all night. Have a big problem with that, There is nothing but woods around it, and homes. A really careless act. If it falls over , someone could lose a home. Isn't this what a cemetery is for..this is going too far.

Notice a tomb stone. What BS, someone is going to hit it walk into it. This is Crazy, if you want to memorialize the kid put in something useful like a bench, don't make it a cemetery for your own personal like. No one wants to live near that. Noticed a got urinating on it.

A memorial is planned for that site according to the village mayor.
