IN ORDER TO CLEAN UP OUR CITY,AND KEEP IT CLEAN, CREATE A LONG TERM PROGRAM TO DO JUST THAT.NOT SENDING A CODE ENFORCEMENT PERSON TO GIVE TICKETS THAT PEOPLE CAN'T PAY. LET US HAVE A TOWN HALL MEETING AND HELP EACH OTHER WITH THEIR PROBLEMS. LET EACH AND EVERY-ONE BE PROUD TO BE A PART OF IMPROVEMENT.

As far as being allowed three garage sales a year it seems to me that Paris is turning into a dictatorship. If someone wants to have a garage sale they should be able to do it when and how often they want after all look these second hand places they're nothing but everyday garage sales.

I think this is the result of a few people in town who have their yards continually cluttered with crap that they are selling and calling it a garage sale when in actuality they are running a business in an area that is zoned residentially and not commercially. An example is the one between Kroger and the hospital.

BTW there is such a thing as home businesses if it's continuous tell them to get a tax number. Seems as if someone found a loop hole and it's making someone mad because there's not a law against it so therefore we'll make one.

Just cutious.....Is the area between Kroger and the hospital zoned for residential?

Anonymous wrote: <quoted text> Just cutious.....Is the area between Kroger and the hospital zoned for residential? I haven't the slightest idea. I noticed in the paper where they included tire stores. If there are more than 20 tires visible outside after the store closes they will be given a citation. I noticed they didn't say anything about the second hand stores that have old junk and appliances everywhere. I understand about keeping the yards tidy. I think they're going overboard. Just another reason to issue citations. If you have more than three garage sales a year you can be issued a citation. You should be able to give a garage sale anytime you please. No the stuff shouldn't be left out. If Paris crime rate is as bad as you say I'm sure it isn't being left out.

You can't just go to a person and ask them to clean up their yard. If they say no, and you don't have any ordinance against it, then you have no recourse at that point. You have to have an ordinance with teeth to be able to take care of the few individuals that are causing the problem.

If any of you still have doubts about this person's mentality and how she raised her kids, just read post # 113 in the thread titled KKK In Paris.
