I haven't been to a college graduation in years. But, since my daughter was graduating yesterday we went. Unfortunately, it was more disgusting than anything else. Let me start by saying I am a veteran with great respect for my country and its flag. During the national anthem, virtually all bachelors grads removed their caps. About 10% of the masters grads, and only 2 of the doctoral grads removed theirs. But even more disturbing is that less than half of the professors and administrators removed theirs. Most disgusting though was the commencement speaker refused to remove hers. That is probably explained by her being a black female who is an Obama appointee. Maybe like Michelle she is ashamed of her country. It is no wonder there is no respect anymore.

And Gee speed read his comments. I felt sorry for the lady trying to keep up with him signing for the deaf. Maybe that isn't all bad though. The egotistical twit actually reminded the graduates that it takes years to build a good reputation and only moments to destroy it. This from the man who destroyed his and the university's reputation with his bungling of the Tressel fiasco.

Sadly it was a wonderful day spoiled by a few spoied adults who couldn't even show simple respect for the flag.

It must be a great life to have the kind of resources to be able to get upset by items such as these. I'm a fellow veteran and please, give me a break with the flag garbage. This country hasn't been anything to be proud of in decades. Back to the graduation: fresh fodder for the mill. More grads = college is more of a commodity = lower wages for all grads. Maybe this "Somewhat amazed" has one of those "love it or leave it" stickers on his GMC? I'm trying the best I can......

It is still not expected that women will remove their hats during the singing of the National Anthem. Perhaps there will come a day when it is expected of both genders. If any of those who did not remove their mortar boards were men, they were wrong.
