My mom is from St Mary, and numerous relatives of ours still live there. As children we visited our granparents and other relatives often. I don't remember a time where the water was clear. I remember many times just wondering exactly what I was drinking, taking a shower in, or washing dishes with.

First of all, lets interview someone else besides the anti-government people in this town. I mean seriously someone at the news station needs to do some research about the creditability of the people that were interviewed. Everyone talks about the water and the fact that no one can drink it. Has any one checked the testing that has been done to the water? I had been told they were fine. I have even went to city hall to see them and they were more than happy to show the tests to me. So please explain how the water is not drinkable. And boil water orders, When? I haven't seen any. So lets talk about Frank Gerardot, and how big of idiot he really is. This is a man that lives in his own dog shit at his house. Don't believe me? check and see if he has been issued a citation for animal cruelty and the fact that animal control stated that there was about 4 inches of dog shit on his back deck. Has anyone at the News station checked to see if this man has really tried to get a screen put up? The city does keep minutes of the meeting and recordings. I'm sure no one has, it wouldn't sell if the real truth came out and that fact that he prolly hasn't done anything and has lied to you all and the rest of St. Mary like he usually does. Now lets move on to Mr. Odem a man that is to lazy to work and draws disablity on the rest of society who lives like white trash. I don't think it's the city's problem if his pipes are old and rusty and his water is brown. Go see for yourself. So let's move on to the Mayor Carl Wyatt, after cleaning up the mockery of former mayor Ron Barnett started with the help of Alderman Gerardot. And this is in no way bashing him it was the people around him that made him look bad. The New mayor seems to be doing everything to make sure the water is safe for the citizens and is pushing for the new water project to get started. I have seen a major improvement in every aspect of this town since he has taken office. Now if we can just get the rest of us in ward one to get rid of the idiot Gerardot the town will be fine. That way maybe the real new of this town will get out to everyone not just what this idiot wants everyone to thing. Including Fox 2 news who hasn't in my opionion got any of this situation right.

Drive along Ladue Road and ask yourself why these people (lawyers and judges) have so much, when working people that actually contribute to society (not lawyers) can't even have clean water? Scumbag criminal attorneys in a criminal system, that's why.

Ward1Resident,

If you think the water is just fine down there, why don't you get a weeks worth and drink it? Secondly, no curse word was placed in my last post. I don't know why those stars showed up.

Um Just to let you know Whistleblower. I don't need a weeks worth, I have a faucet that pours it out all the time that is perfectly fine potable drinking water. Been drinking it all my life and yes just to let you know I am a life long resident. Its not the system that is producing bad water it's the pipes that turn it brown once in a while. Yes the system needs to be replaced or upgraded as I think everyone in this town would agree to that. The people who are involved with the city now are not the ones who let the place be run down and that's why I think it's uncalled for that Frank Retardot is trying to put them down.

I have a faucet here too and I know what the water looks like. I have pictures of my BROWN Pool. Also have picture of water coming out of hose that is brown. And yet my bill seems outrageously high for water I can't use and will not use. I use bottled water for nearly everything. And Frank Gerardot seems to be the only one in this town who has a city seat that is concerned about the citizens. All the others want to hide everything and run people out of office that they do not like. What excuses do we have for the fires before the election or for the mayor suddenly resigning?

Well concerned resident try treating your pool with algicide and clorine might help with your problem or have people bath before getting in it. And why dont you go look at the water tests yourself to see if the water is fine or not but really the main focus should be making sure that, that stupid Alderman Gerardot doesn't screw us out of getting new water which is the most important task at hand. And if you think for one minute that Frank Gerardot gives a crap about anyone in this town exceop himself it's obvious you have no clue as to what this idiot has done or tries to do. You want clear and clean water? 3 Aldermen and the Mayor want it. Frank Gerardot voted it down everytime it came up. Don't believe me go check with city hall or review the minutes and votes from the meetings. Wake up and smell the bullshit that comes from this man. It's a shame that he is smart enough to convince you all that he is trying to do good but you all are not smart enough to do some actual research to figure out that he is just snowballing you all to believe these things. And as far as fires are concerned I have no Idea, If I did I would be an investigator..Maybe you know and are hiding something since you brought it up. And as far as Ron Barnett resigning I don't know what he was thinking but do know that Frank Retardot and Brian Helms were pushing him to do things that the Mayor had no authority to do. As I know Ron Barnett Im sure he was getting pissed cause he was being told he could do these things by these to retarded people of this town and decided that he had had enough. It's a shame that they did it to Mr. Barnett cause he did have some good ideas for this city. I would vote for Ronnie again if Frank Retardot and Brian Helms would move to another country like Iran or Iraq were they belong. That way they couldn't take advantage of him again.

Our company does water system consulting and specializes in the sanitary aspects of water storage. I need to point out that the mayor is factually incorrect in his statement about boil orders. ALL small towns and water systems DO NOT have boil orders at some time or another.
It's a shame that the people of this community would be silly enough to place anyone into office that does not understand that the least costly way to own and operate a water system is to give it proper and timely maintenance.
It is not someone else's job to pay for their system, it's their own.

Clyde I totally agree with your statement, that it's not someone else's job to pay for it. When it should have been taken care of all along. But the people who are in charge now including the mayor aren't the ones responsible for the down fall of the current water treatment plant. I would agree if they all were in office since it has been built but the simple fact is that they weren't one was for a period of time but can you really blame him for 20 years of neglect? And I also agree to the statement that with the boil water order, But I think it was misdirected by Fox 2 news about how many we have actually had, in fact I can't even remember the last one to be honest.

As an ex resident I would like to say thank GOD someone bought our house so we could get our family out of there. First of all this is a place to talk about the water not about your feelings of people in the town. Second I have a child who had to under go emergency surgery because of a infection she got from the water the doctors at the hospital stated it was from the water becuse that was when the town had two test come back bad for the coliform bacteria. I would like some type of explination to that. third I moved to Crystal City where the water rates there have gone up but with a family as large as the one living in this house (11 of us) we still do not pay anywhere near what the bills were down there. Please open ur eyes those of you drinking the water its dirt. Also alderman Stokes and his wife have stated to me that they don't drink the water and the water they use for their two dogs they get from the fridge with a filter. So not everyone on the board drinks that stuff you all call water. As far as the way people say Frank or Mr. Odem are or live that is there private issues I don't know and don't care if they do live the way you state at least I know they are smart enough not to drink the mud from the sink.

Bad water tests???? Check with DNR and see how many tests have come back bad. There is no use arguing with people that are not smart enough to check out the facts before they open their mounths. And I quote from DNR( St. Mary water system has had two failed tests in the past 5 years. Both test were tested right after the postive test for coliform and both came back negative. Hmmm sorry if the truth hurts but thats the truth. Two false postives in the past five years. But glad you moved to Crystal one less negative person to run down this small town.

Your right I am glad I left the town too, yet two bad DNR reports oh of course thats because when water was tested from Mark and Chris B.'s house the lid was dropped right thats why that one was bad. What ever I could careless what happens to that town I am just stating what happened to my family and what DNR reported to the hospital where my child was at. If you get water that you can drink there way to go. Ok and what hurts is nothing to me if you look at what you have said on here, you are confussedd at to whatside you are told to be on, one time you say something and the next minute some one from outside the town with brains makes a statement and you agree with them, yet someone from the town whom you don't like or even someone from outside town you don't like makes a comment and you want to fight now thats some truth that hurts.
