Thanks to all of you! My sister, Clyde's mother and his stepfather will be enroute from Oscoda michigan to be with him. We are certainly devasted by this news.Carla was one of the finest lady I have ever met. She will be sorely missed.

Just heard from Clyde's mother,,, She said they are keeping him sedated but waking him up every two hours to ask questions for his motor skills, He has severe head injuries. It looks like about three weeks stay before he will be stable enough to transport. Not sure about Carla's arrangements.I will post when i know more.

Don't know of other injuries Clyde may have. This was just the neurosurgeon's report.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I sat by Carla for many years at Maritz, I even go back to the days when she worked at Travel. I will miss the updates on the grandchildren and her stories of the bike rides that she and Clyde went on. I wish Clyde a full recovery.

Carla worked for me at Maritz. She was a friend and person who always was there to listen when someone needed a friend. I indeed loved hearing how much she loved her kids and grand kids. Also the many bike rides her and clyde took together.I will miss Carla terribly. I will keep your family in my family prayers.

It is so great to read all of this, God blessed us with our dear friends Carla and Clyde. I love Carla like a sister. From the first time they met on that Fun Float trip we all took together, it was love from the start. Also watched Carla's children grow up and the blessing of the grandchildren that Carla and Clyde are so so proud of. Carla will be missed soooooo much and Clyde is in our prayers as is the entire families.

My thoughts and prayers are with Carla's and Clyde's families. Carla was a super person. She and I used to talk about her mother and my aunt when her mother had the stroke and my aunt went into a home. We were good support for one another. I worked with her at Maritz for several years. I loved her sensse of homor and her stories of her kids and grandkids. She will be missed by many. This was truly a tragedy.

Services for Carla will be at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road (at Butler Hill) Friday August 14, 2009 at 10:00am, interment Rose Lawn Cemetery. Visition Thursday 4-9 pm.
At this time they are keeping Clyde sedated as his blood pressure and pressure on the brain increases to an unsafe level. They are going to give the body a chance to heal. Again, thank all of you for your prayers and support.

When Clyde first introduced me to Carla I could see by the way he looked at her that she was the one he had been waiting for! As I watched them laugh and interact with each other their happiness filled the room. Her eyes shown with the light she carried with her, you could see her happy heart.
As I answer calls from friends and family trying to gain information about Clyde and the funeral arrangments for Carla it has been a blessing to know how loved they are. As we prepare for Carla's funeral troubles pale with the grief we feel at the loss of her. I pray that all who love them will have travel mercies and protection, strength and the ability to hold each of us up during such an emotional time.
Clyde has been my brother-in-law for over 32 years. He is my brother too, we are different, and love each other anyway. He has loved my children, David and Jenni from the moment they were born. He has a love of children and family. Clyde will recover and continue on with the love and support of all his friends and family.
