If my math is correct:$100 fee to enter multiplied by a minimum of 1,000 entries per house =$100,000.
Yes, it would be a great bargain to obtain one of these houses at that price, but the sellers will be getting the estimated market value of the homes through the entry fees. Unless the fees are reimbursed to those who do not win.
Do not mistake this as a gift or charity act, it is just a clever way to sell a house.
If the Ploessl's would have gotten their 1500 entries per home that they initially wanted they would have walked away with a cool 3 million above the estimated market value for said homes.
