Hello all, I have seen a new hair cutting place on Jackson acros from Sears, it looks like a man's place. I think it just opened in last couple weeks. Has anyone been there? I will be getting cuts for husband and a couple boys so I am looking for a good price. They wear their hair short and I could go broke getting these guys haircuts! Let me know.

I understand there are mostly new workers, but when I explain a simple haircut and come out embarrassed to go back to work? C'Mon. I honestly considered calling in sick the rest of the week. I am not a complainer, so when the Store Manager was there I didn't want to embarrass the poor girl. I also didn't complain when I asked her to break my $10 bill so I could give her a tip and she just handed me $5 assuming I wanted to tip her $5!! I normally go to a professional that does a perfect job and barely tip her that much. I wanted to give Sport Clips a try, but it was the last time. Thought it would be cool to go get a trim once in a while, when my wife is shopping on Jackson. Will not be back and have shared my experience with others. Only went because of the coupon for the Free haircut. I literally paid for what I got. Buyer Beware.

This is what happens in most of these franchise salons. The owner is often absent and not even a barber or stylist and they hire newbies or castoffs from other places.

The Cookeville Sportclips is no different. The owner is some guy out of Williamson county who has been in the insurance business for a long time and is now opening several Sportclips around Tennessee.

Spoke to the owner and his wife on their first day open. He is not from Williamson County, he's from Knoxville. Seems to be a good guy and SportsClips have a good rep, but, they aren't cheap and most of the people here won't pay for the MVP. They'd rather get the cheap cut somewhere else. But, if he doesn't hire good people, and give above average haircuts, it won't matter.

I was wondering the same thing why is everyone so damn negative .... Smh I'm scheduled 8 days straight and then another 10 days straight this month it's fucking exhausting . No I'm not lazy or on food stamps just because I want to split up the days I work I have a physically demanding job and 4 year old son. Everyone's else's ridiculous work schedules does not make me any less burnt out or any less depressed when I don't get to see my son for consecutive days. I'm only human not a work robot....managers who make schedules need to take more time looking over there work.

You do realize that in the civilized world even if you have a coupon you tip on what the bill would have been if you didn't have a coupon. I'll make it easy for all you sod busters, a tip is like what the feds give you for sucking at farming.
