Burst pipes make a mess at Stewartville school

I recall new insulation and roof put on the school recently. I wondered, if any of the insulation joints or other areas beneath the rubber membrane, could have been missed or not tightly fit. That sort of a situation may have allowed freezing to drop into the areas where sprinkler pipes and lines holding water may have frozen then and been caused to burst. I thought that those investigating should be careful to not-to-quickly be willing to just turn a claim in for the repairs to the school district's insurance, if maybe the construction contractor's Operations-Completed insurance should be found liable for the damages instead.(Being "Minnesota Nice" and not going after the contractor in such a case, if that might be). Our school district's insurance premiums are affected by claims, and I just want to be assured that the correct decisions are being made when things happen and that when urgencies to get things repaired force quick action, our leaders look out for the interests of the school district and it's taxpayers.
