Mary Gifford was a loving, caring woman filled with strengh and courage beyond the knowledge of those fortunate enough to have known her. Her obituary explains only a brief discription of this truly amazing woman who left this earth all too soon. Loosing her has been the most brutal and unbareable of losses. She put up the a commendable fight for her family, friends and more importantly herself. I truly admire her and hope she has found nothing but peace and a much deserved happiness that had been unjustly over due. I have never been more proud of anyone than I am of my mom. I miss her advice, her voice, her smell, her sense of humor. She was much more than had been discribed before. She brought a much needed joy to everyone who new her and was always able to bring a certian understanding to any situation. I hope all who knew her are able to remember her for her strength, her kindness and for being just an amazing and wonderful person who ALWAYS put others before herself, even till the very end! I love and miss you mom!

I am angry that others dont make her loss of life more meaningful. I understand that persons do die, but she was not just any person. I think every thing had happened so quickly, we were shell shocked by her death. I can not stand the fact that such a wonderful, strong, kind and overall impressive person was last described as a homemaker who loved crafts and Christmas. Lord, she was so much more. She was beautiful (inside and out), her smile lit up the room, and her spirit reached anyone who was within miles. She was blessed with "kind charisma". I can only hope that my own children have even a ¼ of the amount of respect for me as I do my own mother. She was tough, in such a gentle way. She made the impossible, possible. Her laughter literally filled the room and I will not allow her vibrant spirit go off and never be remembered. She was and is still too good for that. She was too good for most of us

I knew Mary for several years yet only encountered her a couple of times. She had a laugh that could bring a smile to anyones face She made the best ribs i have every had and she was always willing to have fun! She raised 5 beautiful children who all share her quality to live life to the fullest. She never allowed herself to be brought down and even to the very end showed how much she deeply loved her children. May all who read this be reminded that Mary was a force to be reckond with and never forget her beautiful smile!
