Like another person mentioned, insinuating that "Native Americans" are the only ones who are allowed to protest illegal immigration is ignoring the concept of the nation-state. We are now a sovereign nation with internationally recognized borders. And just like any other nation, we have a right to expect our government to enforce immigration laws and secure our borders.
Also, regarding this "nation of immigrants" label: we are not the only nation made up of immigrants. Every country in this hemisphere has experienced immigration. And yet no one suggests that Canada, Mexico, or any other country South of the border has not the right to set their immigration policies and enforce them.
