stoddard county jail

Im not saying that there needs to be a new jail or not. I know I had to pay for my crime I was just pointing out that this so called investigation thing is not happening and never has.

I think it's comments like this that lead people to believe that prisoners have it better than they do.... Their punishment is incarceration, which means separation from society, they have NOT been sentenced to live in HELL HOLES. If inmates have "perks" it's because their loved ones on the outside put money on their books so they can have a few comforts of home. The men and women who are incarcerated have committed crimes against society, however they are still human beings and most have family and loved ones who care about them!

it doesnt have anything to do with there books. these people have everything on the inside that they could want on the outside. (except women) tax payers are paying for everything. prison is like a little town, store, barber shop, gym, library, doctors offices, drug stores, restaurant, schools, they have jobs, football, basketball, baseball games, free cable tv, clothes shoes and free rent. . . anything they need or want - ITS FREE TO THEM. they are not locked up, they just cant leave town

you are really dumb aint you the job u dont dont get paid great 5 buck a month that is it and yes dumbass u have to have your ppl on the outside send u money to buy food like ramon noddles ect the sate dont give that too you u have to buy it if u smoke u have to buy ur cigs and usely rolling papers thats the cheeps way to go even tho its your money u have a 75 dollar a week limit u can spend there limits on everythang u can buy usely no more then two keep in mind this is money your family sends all but 5 bucks a month the rooms and floors are nasty in ever prison the beds are falling apart most places dont even have ac but the newer ones like charlston bonne terre ect in dianostic's you are lock'd down the place is so full in there they are prisoners sleeping on the floor because they have no cells to put em in so where u get that prison is some kinda dream get away i have no ideal why dont u go spend a few weeks in there and let me know if you thank the same thang and dumbass every prison i been to and jail also not just stoodard county if the feds came in would shut the sh*t down and to the guy that said about tearing down buliding and that are ran by the goverment u retard a jail is ran buy the goverment they have standard to meet and even if it is county jail still ran by county goverment witchly is over saw and ran by sate goverment witchly is seen and over saw by the fed goverment dumbass

i work at a level 5 prison. we dont and never have had offenders sleeping on the floors. if your cell is nasty its because you dont clean it. there is no maid service. you are provided cleaning supplies so why didnt you clean your toilet? i dont know where you were incarcerated but where i work the food isnt steak and lobster but its not that bad either and they get plenty of it. they are only locked down after 10:00 and then the honor dorms can be out in the common area. free cable and ac - i have to pay for mine. you dumbass. maybe we should all go out and break the law so we can get our comfort items free too

It appears that you are out of touch with reality, perhaps you watch a little too much television, as the prisons you describe do NOT exist in Missouri. Those incarcerated in this state do NOT have the amenities that you listed, so my question is why are you making these outlandish claims? Inmates are furnished basic clothing, but must purchase extras, for example if they want a coat or warmer clothing. If they have a tv in their cell it's because they purchased it, the state does NOT furnish individual tvs for the inmates. Haircuts do take place, but NOT in barbershops, the barbers are inmates. There are NO restaurants,which is part of the reason it's such a treat when the inmates get visitors because they can get "good" food from the vending machines to eat during their visit. Any other "special" food must be purchased at higher than normal prices from the prison run "canteens?" There are no doctor's offices or drug stores, if an inmate is ill, he or she must put in a request to see medical, if it's approved they will eventually be seen by a doctor in the prison! What is your purpose? Would you prefer these people be denied basic health care? Are you sadistic or just mean spirited? I pray that you nor any one you care about ever end up incarcerate because you're in for a very rude awakening, as it is definitely not the life of luxury and leisure that you describe.(The jobs are menial, but do permit the inmates to earn a small monthly "tip" which they can use to purchase items from the canteen such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, I'm sure you also consider those to be luxury items)!

It sounds like perhaps you suffer from burn out, which is understandable with your high stress job. However, I do feel for the inmates if you go to work with the attitude that they have it better than you because the state gives them cable and ac!(I know for a fact that not all prisons have AC, which in my opinion makes the guards jobs harder in the heat of summer, but I'm sure you'd much rather deal with Level 5 inmates when the indoor temperatures rich the upper 90's, yes, that would make your life and their's so much easier. Perhaps you need some additional training to teach you to have more compassion for the people in your charge! It's obvious from your post that you have some definite anger towards them.....

Do you go home and cry about them poor ol prisoners at night?
