I think there should be a city ordinance which requires people who puts up signs for yard sales, weddings, parties, etc, to have to take them down after their event is over. They clean up the signs they put up in their yard, why not the ones they put up around the city? And if there is an ordinance in place why isn't it being enforced?

Actully if they post them on public property anyone can take them down. Not supposed to be there.

So instead of asking the incompetent government of Bloomfield to step in and try to nail my grandparents with a fine,(you do know they swindled all of Bloomfield's money and did not plan for the future rises in health insurance, sewer rate ect..) just remove them yourself when ever you see one go up if you do not like it. But be careful the wrong person sees you take their sign down you may have to back it up.

Did I mention they raised the property tax by 4%. Just imagine what they would have done if there were no limits without a vote. Mayor and city council screw things up and then let us citizens pay for it. Hey they sound like the Obama Admin!!!

Remember this come next election people.

Bloomfield is a beautiful city. Everyone wants to complain about the council and the bad job they are doing, but no one wants to show up to there meetings. I am pretty sure this is an election year. If you don't like the job they are doing, maybe you should run. Those people have jobs and families and doing the best they can.

It is always easy to say why don't you show up and do it if you do not like it, but yes in the economy we live in we are forced to make those decisions, but when those who do show up do a terrible job it is the publics place to make sure everyone knows it and they do not get re elected in the next vote. Path to hell is paved with good intentions. Mayor Hagan should realize it is time to move on. As well as councilmembers Mays,Howard,Agee,Pozgay, and Wimpsett.

This council is the worst one ever. This mayor is the worst one ever. The facts speak for themselves.
Pushing personnel agendas and mismanaging daily government functions and not being competent enough to run the town like a profitable business has put Bloomfield in the relm of Bankrupcy with know new ideas or talent to generate profits other than taxing and punishing the people of Bloomfield through nanny state type ordinances.

All they can do is beg or mandate the people for bailout money. Still sounds like an Obama regime to me.

Bloomfield is a nice little place, what makes it impossible is the fact that everyone is in everyone's business', specially business owners.

If you don't like the way things are going, do something about it instead of just whining. Last I looked, there weren't even enough people willing to take on the job to fill the ticket. It's easy to complain. How would you do things different?

Even Thomas Jefferson said that from time to time in a democratic election process people who are not qualified and are a total joke with no sense of how to run a country, state, county , or town will get elected because of their popularity or association with certain groups.

This is what is going on in Bloomfield. None qualified people are running the town into the ground and pushing their own agenda. Just look at the KY Standard this Sunday. They introduced the new part time cop and most of his work as been done walking around trying to enofrce a nussiance ordainance established by this regime that pushs a private agenda. he is also harassing young kids about vandalism in hopes to scare one into confessing or telling. Then in the same breath he is lobbying for a new police car. for a town that is strapped for cash this is a joke of an idea. But hey that 4% tax increase on the people will pay for it

He is paid to do what they tell him hence the reason that we need to hold these council members accountable for what they have turned this town into. Their big goal is to be North East Bardstown.

We need to hope that we can find some viable people who will have the time and resources to hold the position of mayor and council members that will run the town like it should be ran and not push personnel agendas for themselves and our rich infidels that think they own the town because the refurbished some downtown businesses and put what amounts to junk businesses in those buildings.

Problem is in today's age with the economy the way it is, the intellegent ones are out working for a living doing management for their livlyhood and just do not have the time to run. it is a reality and with this reality comes the idiots we have runing it now.

So sad. Just revolt against them all.

Oh and by the way. Tuesday morning at about 7:10Am a Bardstown police officer had a motorist pulled over in the Bloomfield Baptist Church parking lot on the side of US 62 and 55.

Now I know that if he actually follows a person from the city limits of Bardstown, he can pursue them anywhere, but I must question that. Did they really do that and if so why did they follow all the way to Bloomfield? Plenty of places they could have pulled them over in between.

This should be looked into to see what the scenario was.

I'll be damned if I pull over for one of those Nazi minded officers in my town.

I love Bloomfiedl. it has always been my home. That is why I complain about the people who are running it into the ground making it a bad place to live.

They need to be removed.
