I know for a fact that TNHS players have been playing and coaches up there supervising almost close to midnight. Don't know what's going on but they are having open gym often.

No dummy they are not having organized practices. I can't wait for the season to start! Then you all can look back on topix and see all the ignorant posts that you all have been writing, and eat those words along with that crow !

nobody is scared of TNHS. They have guys that couldnt play or beat us last year. County is a joke, they don't support their sports and that superintendant treats their coaches like crap. No wonder nobody wants to go watch any sports at County or TNHS. They are a joke and always will be.

You are allows to have practice whenever you want other than dead period in summer. You only need to make it available to everyone in the school and it can not be mandatory. This applies to all sports. Rules changed start of last year. As far as the team what I have heard is that the coaches son better work on his release. Slow slow getting shot off. That will not work in the 5th region. Good luck to all the teams this year

Bardstown lost a lot of experience! Besides nobody said TNHS was going to win Region or anything, nobody called out the Tigers or the Cards or the Eagles. I'm only saying that this 1st year team, with a 1st year coach will be a lot better then everyone is expecting! NC only won something like 4 or 5 games last year, I'm saying TNHS will win that many if not more and they will compete well in their losses. I still feel like the Beth. And Btown will be the top teams in the district! Everyone expects a 1st year team to suck, and I'm saying their not gonna suck!

TNHS isn't going to set the world on fire either. They still have crappy players from a team that didn't win. So I'll predict they may win 6 games this year. Nothing to get excited about then their new coach will bail and look to go somewhere else like he had always done. If his son is as good as he thinks he is then he finish his career at a school system and superintendant that doesn't support athletics.

Well I believe TNHS may surprise a few people this year. Also they had two exchange students coming in also. One is a 6'3 guard an other is a 6'7-6'8 center/forward.

The 6'8". Kid from Canada is not eligible right now. If he becomes eligible I hope Thomas Nelson is ready for the hot water they wil get in since the Ellis guy from Louisville is his mentor. They will be good with or without him. Lookout Bardstown.

If they don't get the big kid eligible they wont be any good. If he is eligible then they wil be in hot water with KHSAA. How come all of a sudden there are exchange students coming to the county school system but never did before. That's what you get when you bring in a Cosch out of town that can't win with the talent that's legitimate County students. This new Cosch will get caught.

Dude, can't you read? I said NO Organized Practices are occuring! And you might want to read your rule book! I'm a 5th region official and a member of the KHSAA, and the rule has changed, they can have workouts and open gym they just can't call it Mandatory! And guess what, the coach calls it voluntary open gym and workouts! Get your facts straight, Hater!

Yes that rule has changed. You call open gym and voluntary workout. Once there the coach can run the workout however he wants organized or not. Hell for that matter he can start teaching his offense and defense if he wants. The official above is right. Quit hating on school. All the other coaches in the other sports at other schools are doing this as well. I hope all the schools succes makes 19th district better and in turn our kids better. If kids are willing to show up and learn great!

There are several 8th graders and freshmen that are transferring from Bardstown city and other nelson county schools just to play ball here....and all of them think they are the best ballplayers in this county! They won't take very highly to a 7th grader taking all of their glory from them!
They are leaving because they will not get any playing at B-town.

Do you blame the kids? Why NOT go to a school that you will get playing time and are able to help that team. TNHS will be better than people expect. Wait its okay for Boo to try to get the same Canadian kid to come to Bardstown?BS wake up.

Just cause somkid plays a little ball their parents think they are an all american..it takes more than just shooting hoops during the season. Bardstown will be fine they have several good young players coming. whoever wants to leave btown go ahead. you will just be on the list for an ass kicking for years to come.
