I am an avid Letterman fan just to hear him say something.

Letterman doesn't suffer fools well. That's why Palin is such an easy target. It's also why she won't be on his show.

But he was wise to make a "real" apology before she started to cry on TV. That would have turned all of the talking heads away from supporting him.

Dave letterman was very good ,{ many years ago - far better than the tonight show ,.-- Before he had the open heart operation/bypass....., I think it messed with his mind !--he has never been the same ever ---------- he just isn't creative or funny any more ---.......
