I could not beleive it when I was told that the judges were all from Blodgett and that all the children that won were from Blodgett. YEAH, you can call be a jealous Granny if you want and I think all the kids were beautiful but just because the pagent was in Blodgett doestn't mean other children from other places weren't just as cute..I heard several remarks made by poeple as we were leaving that they would never waste their money on a rigged pagent again. I would however like to congradulate all the winners they were really cute!!!

I agree with you granny. The ladies of Blodgett apparently do not know how to do a fair pageant. Not only were you right about the judges and the contestants, but they also announced the parents names for the judges. This allows the judges to know that they are choosing the right winners. It was a horrible pageant, and ill constructed. I entered three contestants, it was a waste of my money and I WILL NEVER put another child through that again in Blodgett.

I love my town and the people in it, but I think the firecracker pagent could have been a little less noticable when it came to who won. So lets pull together and make the next one more fair.

You all must be kidding me right? This is Blodgett. We are a small SMALL town. This was ALL funded by a couple who try to do for the town. Whether you agree with anything they do in their lives or not, you still have to agree they give to this little town. That pagent they had was just a little something special they wanted to do for the kids. For goodness sake it was not Miss Missouri or some crazy stuff like that. They were just trying to do something sweet. If you want more say in how it goes, put your money out there for it. If you don't like how it is ran, enter the one in the big town of Cape or Sikeston! LMAO! Or better yet, get all that junk off your baby girl's face and let her be a little girl who grows up slow and not on her looks with adults gawking at her!

My point too. Ok, it's great that they want to do this for the kids, but it wasn't fair to the kids. My daughter did not have on make up. However, one of the girls that won in her division DID have on make up. So much of it that it was spead out under her eyes. Another girl was running around screaming and hitting the judges table, picking her nase and not listening to her mother. THESE are not children who should have won, yet they did. It's ok though, I will go to the big towns of Cape and Sikeston, because I know they are fairly judged.

The judges at legitimate pageants in the surrounding small towns tend to find judges from other towns. They do not use the judges from the Woman's club that is putting on the pageant to choose daughters and granddaughters of members of the same club. Rigged is rigged no matter how you want to put it. Just don't expect such a big turn out at your next pageant.

I didn't know the kids who won the contests. They were all cute as you have said. the judges were women visiting from out of state with a family who had no children in the pageant-no club members were judging. I agree it was not the best atmosphere in the world-remember it was supposed to be out on the stage in the park so that you could see the children better and hear. But due to the pop-up storm that came just before the time to begin, there had to be a decision made to go inside. It wasn't rigged in any way. I'm sorry you weren't happy with the pageant. Things were learned from this experience that will benefit future attempts. But remember whenever you put a child in a pageant anywhere, there will be accusations like these-local,state and even national levels.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Scorpio

It will be easy to let things get on top of you today, especially if you're already feeling rather tired and listless. Do yourself a favor and keep away from anyone who often makes you feel a bit fed up or defensive, because they're the last person you want to be around at the moment. They'll make your spirits sink down to your ankles in a flash, and who needs that?
