It is difficult to understand why the judge is talking about how horrible the charges are and not talking about how incriminating the evidence is.

These latest terror-cell busts are more like how the British do it. They have had numerous arrests by simple good police and intel work. That kind of approach to what is a rather small number of gihad lunatics, is going to be more productive than trying to send armies after them -- saw a cool site; Balkingpoints ; incredible satellite view of earth

If he's plotting to overthrow the US government, then it's a fair bet that he is NOT a supporter of the current president (or probably any president, for that matter).

One out of nine of these people are "registered" as a Democrat. But he never actually registered per se, he only voted in a Democratic primary. In Ohio by asking to vote in a parties primary you are automatically registered as a member of that party.

You can keep posting this crap, trying to persuade the ignorant masses that this is somehow part of a Democratic- or Obama-induced plot, but it's just not true. Rather than constantly trying to twist facts to support your anti-Democrat, anti-Obama bias, maybe you could devote some effort to constructively making this world a better place. You know...rather than spreading lies, half-truths and smears.

Because it was an indictment, not a trial, and the full evidence hasn't been presented. At an indictment all the prosecution has to do is show enough evidence to indicate that a crime was likely committed and a trial by jury is warranted. Once you've crossed that threshold they set bail/bond terms, which are usually determined based on the seriousness of the alleged crimes, the likelihood that the defendants will return for trial rather than flee, and the the likelihood that the defendants would commit additional crimes while released.

In this case, the alleged crimes are extremely serious. Since they had already tried to flee once when it became known that the FBI was looking for them, it is likely that they would flee again. And with the seriousness of the alleged crimes and the fact that they were directed against officers of the court, it seems that it is likely that the defendants would commit or attempt to commit additional crimes.

Spend a little more time studying the law and a little less time studying your conspiracy theories, and you might have known that.
