In Pittsfield histroy will remember where "king Jimmy" an out of work -paid off faling CEO reeked havock on the city . Giving away money and driving out its longtime settlers because of their tax burden and recinding services .

And somehow, you think that remark has something to do with the original letter?????? You need a shot of anti-venom. Chill out... it was a very nice peek into history. Thanks and kudos to the letter writer for a nice history lesson.

Save your political rant for the political letters. I might even agree with some of your points.

Great work..it is critically important to save any documentation or known geographical information about this trail before it is lost.

I'm surprised, however, that the trail isn't route 20 or some other now paved road.

In Rome you drive on ancient Roman roads....people don't just up and move major roads, they get upgraded and re-paved.

Maybe rt. 20 replaced this with a better route?

If an old trail exists and could be resurrected, even in parts, it would be a great assett.
