Now isn't that cute. In their unceasing effort to protect the citizens from the four corners taliban the fpd in their military uniforms, full combat gear, machine guns and now a tank are fully prepared to play sojer against their evil enemy, the citizens of San Juan County. Long known as the 'enemy', the citizens in wal mart parking lots can look forward to being shot from the top turret of a tank instead of a cop in a squad car. How long before they start pinning medals and ribbons on these faux sojers puffed out chests ? Think about it as a tank points its turret at you in your next brush with the infamous fpd popo.

The practice of turning cops into soldiers and then throwing them up against every kind of social problem is a disturbing trend.

One afternoon I pulled into the median on 20th at San Juan Plaza. The sun was in my eyes, and I hesitated before I pulled into the traffic. Good thing. Behind me came 4 Farmington police cars going at least 80 mph, throwing gravel and grit against the side of my car. Later I found out they were headed to a report of a dead body.
