This dead thread? Haaa, ya'll out there need to learn how to drive out there!! Guilty need not respond!!! Still the same slow moving traffic, trying to pass and unable to because someone is afraid to move to the right lane for fear of what??? Driving even slower?? Law enforcement really should start ticketing those who drive under the speed limit on the left lane. Maybe there would be less of a back up.

If you are not turning within 1 mile, then you have no business in the left lane. Been fighting with pork products in my area to enforce the NM State Law 66-7-308 read it.

It's "has ever gone" or "has ever taken", NOT "has ever WENT".

I've been searching for the following answer for quite some time and am unable to locate it.

My question: Is it illegal for Semi Trucks to stay in the left lane in the state of Florida. I see signs stating "trucks keep right". Is it the state of Florida or certain counties or cities? Please advise. My husband and I have a bet and I cannot locate a direct answer when searching Google. I've been searching for hours. Driving back to Jax, FL from AL ... any info would be very appreciated.

Thank you,
Michelle

You have a left turn to make, what, 10 miles ahead? Why are you in the passing lane if you're not passing anything? Drive in the right lane until about 1 mile before you have to make that left turn and then you won't have a problem. Do NOT get on the interstate and immediately go to the passing lane and stay there, causing problems for everyone else because you can't be bothered to exercise JUST A LITTLE common courtesy and show consideration for others.

I would really like to know if anyone in NM has ever went to a driving class or even read the driving manual about how and where to drive. No matter where I drive in this State I see everyone driving in the left lane going slower than traffic. Do any of you know what a dangerous situation this makes for other drivers? Do you realize when you encounter that road rage driver this alone will make them want to run you off the road?
Proper and courteous driving is always in the right (outside) lane, leaving the left (inside) lane open for passing and faster cars. After passing this car will get into the right lane until it comes upon another car in the left lane, then they will use a turn signal to change into the left lane and pass that car. All the while the left lane is open unless used for passing cars.
Please read the NM drivers manual so you can learn how to drive!!!! I have heard many people laugh about this and even call it a Navajo Roadblock, I really dont think this is funny or a joke but VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING.
I find racial remarks calling Navajo Roadblock driving on the left lane offensive and juvenile. Anyone knows that hispanics, mexicans, whites and blacks are just as road raged and drive hazardous. I watch the news and it is other races that go on high speed races and kill people in the process. When is there going to be safe driving classes on hit and runs my daughter was hit and runned over in 2005. I am enraged of the way people drive in Albuquerque and constant DWIs'. I have lived in Germany where on the left lane auto ban is for fast paced driving. They have cameras on the freeways and streets to take pictures of your drivers license. And uncovered cars that are posted along the streets to watch and take pictures of speeding drivers. Please get educated and remember some of us Navajos are not that ignorant. GLundy

I don't think texting and talking on cell phones is safe and I have been a pedestrian since I have lived in Albuquerque NM. I have almost been run over at the stop light. My friend was practically run down by a disrespectful idiot. He was crossing and had to run across the street to avoid getting hit and runover. That is not funny there has to be much harsher penalties for hit and run drivers. My daughter died in 2005 from hit and run. I don't know who killed her. I really believe cameras are an answer to controlling speeding vehicles and texting and cell phone monituring.I have lived in other states like Virginia, Alabama, Indiana and Missouri. In Europe and I think someone should take a look at how other states keep control on things. Change is always good, thats why I travel. I can say in Independance, Mo. The people were courteous and patient with pedistrians. They actually stopped and waited for a person to cross the street. In Hawaii it was the same about courtesy to the public. Not here in NM people have no respect for life. It is a shame this is my hometown and I am from the Pueblo of Mesita, NM. The only reason I live here is my parents and school. I hope to move from the land of entrapment soon.

A scenario for all of you. Every morning I go to work on Hwy 64. I am fortunate in that I live about 1/2 mile from where I work. I pull onto 64 from the south going west into the left lane (as prescribed by law)...then I stay in the left lane until I turn off of 64, again to the south. Would you have me change to the right lane for less than 1/2 mile? Have you ever experienced the traffic on 64 between 6 and 9 on weekdays? Just changing lanes for that short distance could cause an accident!! What would you have me do?
.

Tell me is there 2 different speed limits on the road. 55 in right lane and Light Speed in left lane. Get over yourself your no more important then the next person.

What is most dangerous is the tailgator who tries to force you over when there is nowhere to go or it is unsafe for you. If you only have a short distance before your left hand turn and you are going with flow and at the speed limit, it makes no sense to be changing lanes. Open highway - it is a different deal.

Get over your own dam self. You are no more important than the next person

If they are both going the speed limit, there's no need to pass...unless you want to be unsafe and speed.=^..^=

Not supposed to do a tandem. If going the same speed, both could easily be in right lane. That's the whole point. No one will be held up that way--same speed; same lane. NO TANDEM DRIVING FOR EXTENDED PERIODS/MILES.

Drivers are not traffic enforcers, therefore, it is not up to YOU (figuratively) to dictate speed in both lanes. SO: faster traffic--left lane. If they're speeding, that's their issue.

It's really not rocket science, except for drivers who are ignorant of driving rules.
