Its not just a "Candelaria"...you yourself need to be accountable for your actions as well...it goes for everyone...not just a certain family...I feel jealously from you that you have to call out this family due to this...dont go there, because you might as well call out ever other family that has someone to do with instances of such.

I am in no way standing up for this guy, but some twelve year olds aren't in their rooms playing Barbies, some have more of a sex life then some twenty year olds have, it's sad but the truth. What was this twelve year old doing talking to a 28year old for several months and especially about sex? Where the heck was this girls parents? Doesn't county workers typically work from 8-5? Why wasn't this girl in school? Where were the parents?

First of all, "2 bad", you can't be to blame for what your family does. I'm sure your family isn't always proud of every move you make, right? But should they all be judged for it? NO. Every family has its dark secrets. This one just happened to come out so calling out a whole family for one person's actions is not only hurtful but highly STUPID! Second, Everyone should get their facts straight... I agree with "Get a clue" for the most part HOWEVER he was 25 not 28. And, remember that the Daily Times doesn't always have all of the facts either.... Trials are still pending, so do you really think that they DA and police dept are just gonna lay it all out there before it is all said and done.... probably not! UGH!

What is the 12 yr old doing chatting on a computer to begin with... Sounds like a "Chris Hanson" setup... The 12 yr old should do some time also ... maybe then her chances of growing to be a " 70's unlady like" person will decrease .. the punishment should go for both persons ..

O BELIEVE me ! I am accountable for everthing i have done and so is my family ! You can' tell me he didn't know what he was doing "SHE IS ONLY 12" ! And no you can't blame the the whole family but they will all get the looks and cold shoulder ! All i'm saying is how does it fell to be on the other side ? Getting judged for something you didn't do ! It don't fell so good it hurts ! They need to not act like there $h!* don't stink and treat people like real people !

"It's about time that you Candelaria's be accountable for what you do"...What the hell does that mean?! Maybe you would like to explain what exactly your trying to say. Why would he hid or blame someone else? Yeah he messed up but at least he admitted it.

It wasn't a 12 year old girl. It was the police. I'm glad he pleaded guilty and actually admitted to what he did.

Ha ha, nice try, if it was the police then why did it continue for 5 months and why if it was the police, did they need to confiscate his computer his work computer if the police had done this. Wouldn't they have all the records on the police computers as proof for prosecution? Nice try, not buying it.

Ok its the police. Good one. How dumb to even say that.
And "aztec citizen" said he admitted to it??
He got caught!!!
I have to agree with many, this family thinks they can get out of anything. Well not this time!
The mom thinks her kids do no wrong. Well one of them finally got caught and has to answer for what they did, something really bad. She was 12!
So lets see if they all still walk around thinking their crap dont stink! Cause you know what "It stinks"

Yes he got caught but at least he admitted that he did it. unlike other people who think they can still get away with it but saying they are no guilty. It takes an even bigger person to admit what they did was wrong.

While it is sad to see grown men track and prey on children/teens, and it is a horrible thing to not keep an eye on your children, there's only so much everyone can do. You can watch your kids till you go to sleep, they will wake back up. You can fight what drives you inside but without help and without wanting to quit, the desires loom. The man and girl are both to blame, if she felt uncomfortable she needed to block or report him. He ought to have known better than to solicit someone so young. Girls and guys are putting themselves out on the web as some sort of sexual icons, and it's a scary thing. The blame is to be spread equally of all parties involved: "child" parents, preditor. Stop throwing it at one or the other, that's senseless. Do not let the child have access to the internet, do not allow IM or chat at the work place. Equal effort people.

I dare anyone to walk the mall on a friday night and pick out the twelve year olds... Or stop and look at the clothes the stores there are selling to said twelve year olds. For all those yelling
"won't someone think of the children," I say you should take a good long look at just how readily we ENCOURAGE sexuality on them.

Excellent Point! That and the Bratz dolls, I see those and I'm like geez who would buy that crap for their kids? They are all dressed like they are prostitutes, what great role models for young girls...and now they even have the clothing line so they can dress just like them!
