Do >YOU< understand that "the Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms shall NOT be infringed".
And, that if there are teachers that are willing to go to school armed. Then they have the RIGHT to do just that?
Not only that, but if there are former service-people becoming teachers. That they provide an EXCELLENT SOURCE of PRE-TRAINED SECURITY for our children?
Do >YOU< "understand the difference", you simplistic dolt?
If I want to board an airplane, do I also have the "right" to carry on a firearm, whether concealed or not? If teachers have the right to have guns at school, surely we cannot deny an airplane passenger his rights. I'm sure the airline industry would fight the NRA on this one, because passenger count would plumet if the "right" to carry a gun on the plane was enforced.

Maybe it's the company you don't keep. Do you go to the shooting range much? You might be surprised who you see there.

<quoted text>"Don't worry about the teacher injuring or killing a student, the criminal will do it for them."
That is an insane statement.
If you do not consider the risks involved you are not making a fact based decision and your course of action is just an emotional rant.
As far as teachers carrying when they are violating policy or the law they should be fired if caught.
You can't teach honesty and the rule of law unless you are willing to lead by example and it is pure BS if they think that their services are so important they can't be replaced.
You explain tome what gives a teacher the right to carry when it is based on a fear that should be a decision of administration and not in their job description to make that call.
Administrators carry too. So do judges, lawyers, doctors, business men and women, mayors, alderman, governors, senators, and many teachers. They have been doing it for over 200 years. Didn't anyone tell you? By the way, as a U.S. citizen a teacher has a right just because some people want to infringe on that right does not nullify that right. Yes the teacher can be replaced but so can the job, their life can't be.

You really don't understand the profession at all. No surprise there--it's obvious you have limited understanding of lots of things.

Trying to twist facts again? No you can't have GUN violence without GUNS. However the UK and Australia have fewer guns but over 4x the violent crime rate. Fewer guns = higher violence.....http://www.dailym ail.co.uk/news/article-1196941 /The-violent-country-Europe-Br itain-worse-South-Africa-U-S.h tml

So, using your logic, there should be no laws against murder. After all, it doesn't stop murderers.
Why stop there? Let's just have no laws. Criminals will commit crimes......laws don't stop them.
<quoted text>
Laws don't stop crime, simply provide punishment for a crime. DUH.

They absolutely do NOT carry in Farmington Schools. You are showing your gross ignorance.

People from all professions carry, but not in most school districts where it is prohibited.

You have "de-legitimized" yourself on this one. LOL!

Odd how you ignore the fact that guns go down violent crime goes up. Guns go up violent crime goes down. You also group JUSTIFIED homicide with crime. When a rapist or home invader or attacker gets shot it is a GOOD thing, not bad. the fact we shoot more criminals than any other country is a good thing.

Among peaceful nations, the US is the bloodiest regarding guns. 68% of murders in the US are committed with guns.

So as long as the crime is not with a gun, even if it is a much higher violent crime rate then you don't count that?

At one time yes you could carry on planes till some idiot said you would be safe if no guns were allowed. WOW was that a lie. 9/11 no guns used. No passengers with guns, good thing too, someone might have gotten hurt.

A teacher enters in to a contract with an employer and can have restrictions upon doing so.
