Elwin Roark was a do nothing during the years he served on the Bloomfield City Council. He missed numerous meetings because of his work schedule. He didn't have time to serve then and he certainly doesn't have time now. Mr. Roark had a warrant issued for his arrest from the Bloomfield Municipal Court for failing to clean his property. His neighbors begged for relief from the Police Dept because of the eyesore of his junk. He even fled the state to avoid arrest. He will never support the citizens right to have laws that protect them from such people as himself and would work to undo zoning laws because in his misguided opinion they are unconstitutional. He describes Mr. Eckstein as a "good, honest, Christian man", these are qualities that he is sadly lacking. You can view his history with the courts here in New Mexico on the NM Court site. He has been sued numerous times for failing to pay people. He is widely thought of as a crook and dishonest.

Ms. Wegner is an idiot and certainly doesn't know what she is talking about. She is a pawn of Glen Spencer and he has the same issues with junk violations.

I always thought Scott Eckstein was a upstanding citizen, but when push comes to shove he has no backbone or desire to stand up for what is right for the citizens of Bloomfield. I am wondering now how many kickbacks Mr. Eckstein and the Police Chief Mike Kovacs get from local businesses. Changing laws to suit their needs and then when questioned about them they pass the buck to someone else. In my opionion us Citizens of Bloomfield need to start looking into who we have on the payroll.

Disagree...
Mr. Eckstein is the only commissioner who has shown the "citizens" of the City of Bloomfield or the citizens of SJC that he doesn't have a personal agenda. His concerns are for and with the public. His representation thus far has "PROVEN" his ability to prioritize the best interests of all. He's stood alone against the pressures and "slight of hand" in every situation wherein the concerns of the average taxpayer's dollars mean something. Good job Mr. Eckstein. Thank you.

You mean AN upstanding citizen and WE citizens of Bloomfield. But your poor grammar aside, Bloomfield went from being a total eyesore to being a nice little town since Eckstein took office.

They would sue, if it were not true. Show me a govt offial who has been in place for more than three years that is not on the take and I'll show you a fired grunt that did not want to be a "team player". Want an example: George Duncan .. he's never had a real job in his life. He's been at the trough since he left high school(1970). He won't retire because the money is too good, for what he does.

Mr. Just the Facts,

I wish you had your "facts" correct. I hope that you will take time to reflect upon what you say. Mr. Duncan is a great asset to the citizen's of Bloomfield and to the fire department. He has a passion for the this community, i.e., the River Walk, The 911 Communications Center, The Fire Department, The Chamber of Commerce, The Cultural Center, and many other civic and non-civic organazations that make our community strong. He gives countless hours to us and rarely takes credit. He has been instrumental in many unseen projects and it is people such as yourself that take him for granted and are so easy to ridicule him. He has made the safety of this community his life and more importantly he has championed many things that make our community quality better. He does not just drink from our community trough, he fills it.

The fired grunt was on the take and blames everyone else but himself.

Could not have said it better myself. This joker from Chinle that goes by 15 different titles, got turned down by Chief Duncan for the volunteer dept. Either that or George stole his chick in 1970. He obviously holds a grudge, and is a very LITTLE man.
George has a huge heart. Never mind the fact that he has 30 years of knowledge, experience and training. That's worth a lot.

There's a differance between 30 years experience and one years experience 30 times! Education= knowledge. How mamy degrees does the "chief" have? Thought so. George was/is too lazy to go to school. His mom and dad were very good people, though.

Bloomfield is on a roll. Let's keep it going.
No one can deny Bloomfield is the best place in the 4 Corms to live, to work and to raise a family.
And this is due in no small measure to the character of the individuals who lead it, manage it, and keep it clean, beautiful and safe.
God bless Mr. Eckstein, Mr. Johnson, and Chiefs Duncan and Kovacs.
Check their records at New Mexico Courts. And then be sure to also check the records of the two mayoral challengers. End of all debate.

You really have some very serious personal issues that you need to deal with. Nothing wrong with admitting it and seeking professional help. It's the start down the road to recovery. It's very, very apparent that someone who has been harboring such anger for so long has some very serious issues. Really dude, get yourself some help, you'll be glad you did. Jealousy, bitterness and resentment is a horrible load to carry.
