McDonald's has been tacking a double-tax onto items sold at its Shiprock franchise, which has left some customers not-so-happy about their meals.

understand....taxes unfortunately are a necessity. The only CONCERN I have is what the Navajo Tribal Govt does with what and where those TAX dollars are going?

There is no ORGANIZED watchdog (but a few) nor established MEDIA-PRESS to inquire and ask questions of Navajo Tribal officials. The regional papers that do ask get pushed back by corrupt Navajo officials.

Does it make sense anymore to SPLIT 1 million dollars amongst Navajo Chapters anymore? When the Chapter is approproriated Tribal funds - what or how does the Chapter maintain those funds meant for the people?

How often I see Navajo Tribal vehicles being used for personal ventures as movies, groceries with family inside, trips to local banks on payday.

THis apparantly is where tax dollars are going. Chapter officials spending or misappropriating chapters funds, this where navajo tax dollars are going.

The Navajo President Ben Shelly and his Vice President being indicted by Tribal Courts (where the Mr. Shelly agrees to pay dollars back), this is another fine example of where Navajo tax dollars are going and continue to go to.

according to the state of NM statute law, 6.3125% total, is all that is suppose to be charged on the Rez for NMGRT. Bat tax % goes to the tribe, balance goes to the state.
It has taken years for us to receive that answer. Nobody wants the confusion taken away, corporate loves the extra money they keep.

Lots of businesses on the res are double taxing, check your receipt, call the state and report.

As for what the BAT Taxes are used for, that's a whole story in its self.

Maybe, we can persuade Cary to lead the band wagon on this one.

A great Tea Party exercise for the righteously indignant.

Take on small business and corporate alike and religious wackos at the same time.!!!

And I bet its the Lefties fault again.
