Our shoes? Jammer. You are a real work aren't you. We have already clearly established you are not Navajo, or Native American of any type. Despite what you say, and despite the authoritive words you put into the mouths of navajo friends. The fact remains you are a one man authority. Your armchair description describes you perfectly. A ledgend in your own mind.
Now what kind of person the Whammer Jammer. I still feel there are at least two primary whammers, husband and wife likely, late 50's white, living in Kirtland, some college education maybe, but likely not, lower middle class, possibly a bussiness owner. Overall blue collar. Political views very much a Tea Party, meets Ron Paul. So just keep driving your tow truck or one ton duley pickup.
By the way I don't think you are Mr. Jensen anymore, his temper would have given him away by now.
Nope, I told you that before...just a level headed tax paying citizen...that which this country is founded upon. You? Sit and stew in your corrupt administrative virtue....you admonish what I stand for? What I stand for is a just nation. One who stands for what is just for those they represent. Not for one, but what is best for the nation. Continue to live in the past and see where that gets you...see where that'll get your children...bottom line? The nation is fraught with incapable administrators and misconceptions...fraud and corruption.....I'll chose my avenue over yours everytime. My choice? Grow. Adapt. Change...get with the program. Times, they are a-changin...and leaving you racist, corrupt individuals behind. Bu Bye!

Like I said you are a arm chair quarterback who didn't ammount to anything who has found a crusade. Keep chasing windmills. Once you start doing something constructive let me know.

Grow and adpt? no you are showing the resistance to that growth. As far as your country thing. The things you say and the things you are doing show an inherent disrespect for the political process. You the patriot? not by a long stretch. You are more of a Stephen Cobert, or south park stereotype.

So yes you are a great example of Farmington Racism.

Farmington Racism - Part Four
'Our Dusky Neighbors'
Farmington, N.M., population 43,000 (63% white, 18% Indian), is a center of commerce in northwestern New Mexico. The streets bustle with reservation shoppers on Saturdays. On the quaint main drag are coffee shops, a movie theater, restaurants, "Welcome to Farmington" signs, and several boutiques selling Navajo art and jewelry. In one antique store, the white shopkeeper carefully wraps a porcelain mug with a caricature of a beaming Indian. "How! Me friendly," it reads. "Isn't he just so cute!" the owner exclaims.
That's not the way American Indians are viewed by some residents of Farmington, who welcome Navajo money but not Navajos themselves. Like many reservation border towns, Farmington has a substantial transient population. Police and social workers estimate there are as many as 700 transients in Farmington, most of them American Indians. "There is incredible mistreatment," says Adele Foutz, executive director of the Navajo United Methodist Shelter for battered women and children. "The community attitude is that they are dirty and smelly and shouldn't be walking the streets at all."
Many of the Navajo transients in Farmington abuse alcohol, which was deliberately introduced to their ancestors as a tool of conquest, more subtle perhaps than smallpox-infected blankets, but no less deadly in the long run.(According to the Department of Health and Human Services, alcohol-related deaths are 7.7 times higher among American Indians and Alaska Natives than the national average).
Alcohol abuse fuels hate crimes against American Indians in Farmington and elsewhere both by creating more vulnerable victims and by reinforcing the stereotypes that embolden violent racists.
"Violence is frequent, very frequent, and hard to get a handle on the cause. Was this violence perpetrated as a hate crime?" asks Paul Ehrlich the director of Totah Behavioral Health Authority, which treats substance abuse among the homeless. "We have encountered people who were beaten up on the street, or
picked up on the street and taken out into the desert and beaten. People aren't willing to say exactly what happened." The drunken Navajos living on the streets in Farmington today are in many
ways the residual effects of a tradition of disdain that's as old as Farmington itself. In 1893, at a time when Indian children were forced to attend boarding schools where they were washed with lye and bleach boasted to anyone who'd listen that he carried the severed finger of a Navajo in his pocket. And in 2002, former Farmington Mayor Marlo Webb gave an interview for a documentary in which he sounded a lot like his predecessors in the late 1800s. "They've culturally not come in to join what we call modern society," the mayor said of his Navajo neighbors. "They're not, they haven't been educated to do it. They're not equipped to do it. They're very backward."
saying some one is backward as you state about Webb is not racist. Fact is they are often behind the times. Next lets look at Sata Fe 67000 plus residents with a 76% white and 3% Native mix. I walk through that twon often and hear strongly racist remarks of native. I walk on the reservation and hear racist remarks about whites all the time. Let me tell you a short joke. Back in the 70's there was a commercial on TV with an Indian in full head dress sitting on a horse with tears running down his check when he looked at all the lite around him. Well I was a white easterner. No clue about Native Americans No prejudices because I never new any. But when I came out he for the first time it was night. The joke is I arrived in Shiprock New Mexico the most litered town I had ever seen. This Indian must have been sitting in his backyard. NO PRIDE at all in that town that what I thought I know that is not correct but impression mean alot

All that means is that some people learn and recognize racism around them. Most of Farmington's "fine" citizens are in denial. Ms German is not.

Farmington is the armpit of New Mexico. I was dining at Outback and the waitress was rude and inconciderate. Even the Mega church's by the college are rude and won't allow a Dine' to worship on Sundays. Navajos BEWARE: You will get shot at Wal-Mart by racist cops, get your head shaved into a swasitka by Biligaana boys if you venture into F-Town!!!

I'll listen to the 'Navajo Nation President' who is in step with the times. He knows...his job? To bring ignorant, racist citizens like yourself into the 21st century. He's doing his best to educate the citizens of the Nation as to what exactly is 'wrong' with the government of the Nation, and what needs to be done IMMEDIATELY to change it. What can be done to 'correct' these issues? Let's start with the "Navajo Nation Criminal Code"...he's correct when he states that the 'code' allows multiple drunk driving citations to go unpunished! What is the maximum punishment for any Navajo Nation citation/arrest/warrant? What is the MAXIMUM amount of time of incarceration on the reservation? Get educated. Listen to your President. He knows, but he can only do so much. DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE! Do something that will leave your children with a better Nation than they were born into. This isn't rocket science...it's common sense. 25 counts of DWI/DUI is punishable with an all expenses paid 'night stay at the local 'pokey'...perhaps a 'fine'...which amounts to a 'social security check' that grandma is willing to finance....with or without her blessing...give me a break. Until and unless you and others of your same 'mind-set' are willing to take a 'HUGE' step in the right direction, nothing will ever change...just a suggestion, ever thot about hosting a 'neighborhood watch meeting'? Hmmmm...probably not...that might disrespect the 'punks' in the neighborhood. After all, who's going to patrol your neighborhood? Shiprock PD? How about taking some responsibility yourself? Keep an eye out for you neighbor? What have you done lately? Aside from criticize everyone and anyone who opposes your view? Get involved. Set an example. Be a leader. Do something other that sit back and spew crap.

at the time in the 2nd grade livin in Farmington. I don't recall anything being said too much if anything. THere were 3 kids and parents. Mom stayed home and dad worked with El Paso (as with everybody). Later in 1974 we ended moving and relocating in EL PASO. Unfortunately, Dad had issues with booze all in same year - he was a mean SOB too, but away from that, i had fond memories of farmington but only as a KID. Where other families low key for the most part during this time?

To be honest it's really embarrassing to even say I am Dine'. The most felt racism I have experienced in my life was from my own people. I am what they would call an assimilated native one that is caught between worlds and cultures. Don't get me wrong Farmington is one racist town that is in deep denial but the hatred of racism is not so heart felt as that coming from my own people. So you all can go F@@K yourselves!!!!!

Sorry dude, you aren't describing racism you are describing basic jealousy and envy. And depending on they type of attitudes you give off, maybe some of those you are accusing are mistaking your pride for racism, and they are just hitting back.

Unfortunately there are enough of racists around SJC to make things not pleasant. The LDS Kirtland group that led the charge to split the district is a great example.

I'm so sick of this topic! There is racism in Farmington! Ok? It's equally bad on all sides, OK? Navajos Whites Hispanics. All equally guilty!!! I will agree that this is one screwed up town. You go into a store and you're lucky if you get a welcome greeting. Heaven forbid you have to use their restroom. Everything is unkempt, there is no pride, no identity nothing but a bunch of pissed off arrogant people. Why don't the non racist people from all sides get together here and decide to make more of this town than just a beat down dirt hole. Clean up your own and make it a better place to live for everyone.

Well, you are so right about this town. It's an ugly, dirty place with ugly, dirty and ignorant people.

Shopping here is a joke because of the rude employees who have no idea about customer service and apparently aren't trained to either know or care.

And the restaurants in this place.......horrible! Impossible to get a decent meal here. From Sonic (omg) and ALL the fast food places to the franchise restaurants, the food is unbelievably bad. Hard to believe that in other areas Outback is good! The Farmington store is B-A-D. Same with Chilis, Applebee's, Olive Garden. Just awful.

I don't get it. What's up with this shit-hole?
