OG&E is an interesting animal. Here you have two people going to court for him and getting him essentially a slap on the wrist with no mention of rehab. He'll figure out a way to get the drugs that evidently make him so happy. Since he still has his CDL he could go to work for another major company. But imagine those people at OGE wanting him back. What did he do for those two men, provide them free somas or hydrocodone tabs? Was he their own personal dealer? I would not want someone driving heavy equipment in a yard who's hopped up on oxycontin. I am fairly sure he will be back in the system in the near future.

I used to work at a doctors office, and you would not believe the number of people that do this. There is a system that tracks controlled narcs but no one seems to monitor it, obviously, or he would have been caught sooner. If there is no real punishment for someone doing this what's to stop anyone? When I became suspicious of someone and ran them in this system you could always find several other docs prescribing them narcs. Then if you checked OSCN you could find some of them on probation for drug charges. People on probation should for drug charges should be red flagged in the state pharmacy database and it needs to be monitored.(Also, it runs way behind by several months. It should be real time)

What kind of judge sentences a drug abuser like this to probation? He drives a huge truck! Have they never heard of the horrible crash a couple of years ago when the semi truck drove over all of those cars on the highway and killed a dozen people? Is that what it's going to take for someone to take prescription drug use seriously? That judge acted very irresponsibly...to me, prescription drug use is worse than street drugs, because at least people take street drugs seriously...people like this guy just get to walk out of the courthouse and find another doctor...pathetic!

So its against the law to go to any Dr you want and for them to give you prescriptions? whole thing sounds funny to me, and if he was buying the drugs with his money how did he break the law? I know Sr Citizens that take 26 pills a day on medicare, and guess what many Drs write the scrips

Yes, I agree. It is our right as Americans to purposely deceive medical professionals to consume REAL medicine for recreational purposes, that REAL people actually need to lead normal lives.

The real problem is whenever selfish a-holes do this, they give a bad name and negative connotations to pain management and lead to real people who depend on this and do it the legit way to be treated like common drug addicts.

So whats the difference between this guy and a crack addict? Big pharma is making money off of him, so he gets a slap on the wrist so he can keep giving them his money.

Why not have a federal data center to alert pharmicist and Drs. of to any medications prescribed to an individual that might have a reaction to any other medications prescribed and red flag people who fill multiple prescriptions of any drug class. I work in elderly homes and have seen many scripts from several Drs. and drug stores. I have read 85,000 people die a year from drug interactions-If terrorist killed this many people,we would have a national panic!

its idots like this jerk that make it harder for people like me who have legitamate need for these kind of drugs to get them. he should serve time for this. even the pharmices should have seen this. all pharmacies are tied into a state database that tracks narcotic drugs. i guess no phamacisit checks the system either. total breakdown of the system

Maybe if the pain meds weren't quite so cheap when they are legit, and the prices on the other meds reduced, disabled and senior citizens would have a better quality of life. Seriously, I am on Pain Management, and I am amazed how much cheaper the pain pills are compared to some antidepressants, stomach acid reduction, or high blood pressure pills, etc. People wouldn't go "shopping" if they had to pay more for pain pills and it cut down on their profit margin.

So what's wrong with going to a doctor and getting a prescription for legal drugs? Are we afraid someone might be able to deal with their pain and become or remain a productive citizen?
