Who is this guy? The good, the bad and the ugly. If he was such a great Chief as he claims and both the officers and citizens loved him as he claims. Then why don't you people want him back? Through some crooked back door dealings he has found himself as Chief of Police here in Piedmont. We don't want him out there. Any chance of him goin' back to where he was loved the most??? In Blanchard.

Last week it was announced the Multi-County grand jury was handing sealed indictments to the District Attorney on two individuals that may be linked to the former city government. Could this be the reason he has resigned as Piedmont's chief of police? We shall see if he is the second one when the indictments are opened.

This guy is a good friend of the two who refused to call an election and accused people of voter fraud when it was their job to make sure that a map was filed before the election. These two councilman were also questioned by the grand jury. Sounds like people need to join together to rid the town of the corruption.

Well they were both arrested today in McClain County. Glad those two officers were on the news and brought all this out. Unfortunately one wouldn't show his face. The other was willing to grab his gonads and show his face. That is what real men do. And yes my name is Randy.

It is about time that "some" of the corruption is finanyone care about these things at all?ally being looked into. How mujch money did the city pay out? What about the other corruption, when will it be investigated? Why did a woman recently take a loaded gun into the court house and only get probation? She is actually bragging to people that it will be totally expunged? Is it really true that a layd with a gun at a courthouse can still own a gun?

What if she was a terrorist and people got killed? What if she goes "nuts" again, and brings the gun back to the courthouse and this time kills people? Does

It would have been nice if two more indictments had been handed down too. God moves in mysterious ways. It could still happen. Praying!

This is getting out of control.

Why is everyone picking on the city council? The new ones are no different than the last ones, except less corruption. I think when the next "legal" election is finally held, I will run for council-woman. Once I am elected, there will be no fooling around anymore, I am a take charge person that is above reproach as far as my personal life is concerned.

Thankfully I have been in Hosuton while the arrest were made, but now am back

I hope you aren't the one who was so above reproach you went what I think was called "crazy" and broke the law after losing the last election (remember that gun), and supported our rights being denied and taken away now. Blanchard is fed up with people like that! Blanchard is tired of the corruption and the crazies! There is only one honest person who believes in the law on the council now and he was elected in Apr 2011 in a "legal" election. Too bad the last councilmen are the ones who broke the law by not doing their mandatory duty in providing maps to the election boards.

I worked with Tom Linn when he was an FBI Agent and consider him to be completely honest. It sounds like small town politics to me.

I agree. One doesn't work for the FBI for 25 years and in a short time, become corrupt in a small town. Compare Blanchard to some other towns (one in North Canadian County to be specific) and you'll find the same politics. The politicians are usually the corrupt ones who have self interest agendas for their friends who want to control the town for their personal gain or power.

Good, honest people find difficulty trying to perform their duties and run their departments in a decent, respectful manner. There's always someone trying to discredit the good guys in their efforts. These people are lonely, pathetic people who thrive on gossip, slanderous lies and bottom-feeding remarks without facts. Unfortunately, freedom of speech allows those people to exist. It's too bad!

Sort of hard to refute an OSBI investigation with a recording. I do believe he was a puppet of those in higher power and would like to see him turn state witness against at least two and maybe three who were on the city council at that time (before the election in 2011). In my opinion, I do not think he was acting on his own, especially with the subsequent suspicious actions of the two city councilmen who weren't up for reelection at that time. One is now gone, but the other is still doing things that aren't right to keep control.
Corruption will continue to flourish when good people do nothing!! Now that is bad!!!! P.S. If you do live in Dallas, TX, you don't know what is really going on in our town. But I do agree that the politicians have been and still are the corrupt ones who have had self interests and want to control the town for gain and power! That's why something has to be done. Too bad Tom Linn had to get involved.

I think Tom Linn came to Blachard to make a difference for the better. Look back at the last 10 years (one could go back further for the same results) and count the many police chiefs and officers who have worked for this town. How many police officers have ever retired from here? How long did the chief just before Linn stay? He was a good, honest person. This city's turnover has to say something for how the city takes care of their employees. You get what you pay for and you if you don't take care of your employees, the good ones leave and some of the ones who stay cause trouble for everyone.
God have mercy on Blanchard, Oklahoma! Pray for better leadership and harmony for our town.

To Ditto: Because he was former FBI, our town hoped Tom Linn would stand up for the law and not let corrupt officials, their friends and their families keep breaking the law and letting them get off. This had been a huge problem for our town. One officer was fired for standing up for the law and arresting the previous mayor for spousal abuse in front of a minor -- Tom Linn was chief of police. Lost respect for him when he didn't back her up. Lost respect because he let other things go without standing up for the law. It is sad when good people allow themselves to be corrupted.
Thank you for your prayers for our town. Our town is just one of many in Oklahoma going through the same type of corruption because people are afraid, they've been threatened, or some don't want to get involved.
Since last year's election, the present mayor has been the only one who has followed the law. Unfortunately, he was outnumbered and could do nothing except state his objections that what they were doing was illegal.
People need to stand up and demand the district attorney, FBI, OSBI, Attorney General's Office and/or State Auditor investigate the corrupt individuals in government. These people do not care about the law and believe they are above the law!

Sounds like the recall procedure needs to begin. Get with it, Townspeople! You get back what you put in. Look up how to do this in the City Charter. Then go door to door, seeking signatures from citizens!

Well, months later, we understand this case against Chief Linn is over. The case was not as spectacular as Blanchard Cops tried to portray. Hopefully, the media will treat him better than it did when this began. Maybe they will. Good luck in the future, Chief Linn!
