I was just being sarcastic because you strike me as someone who doesn't really understand the system. For some reason people like you think it is so easy to get welfare. Go down there and try it. See how humiliated you feel. I guess you think you need a reason to be self righteous. Well congratulations you are not on Welfare. You deserve a gold medal. Lets have a friggin parade just for you. Do you ever watch the news? Do you realize how much corporate welfare is out there? Do you know what corporate welfare is? That is when the government bales out corporation with BILLIONS of taxpayers dollars. If the republicans and fat cats can keep people like you worried about some young girl getting welfare then while you are distracted with that, they can give billions to some CEO so he can go to a spa in the tropics.

Since you are obviously to stupid to get the intelligent versions point, let me give you the bitch version. I never said anything about not helping a young girl who makes a mistake OR anyone who is TRYING to help themselves you asshole. I DO understand the way the system works because I worked it for nearly a decade! I was referring,(meaning-talking about) the "repeat offenders" who have NO problem with "how humiliating" ithe system is and has SEVERAL (meaning-ALOT) of kids with different men and waiting on child support and my tax dollars to support their kids and GRANDKIDS! I do hope you understand the reference, lead by example! As for self-righteous, fu*ck you! I work 50+ hours a week for $35K a year and every penny goes to support my family. I live paycheck to paycheck but you can bet YOUR ass won't have to bail me out even if means getting a second job. That's called self-respect, lead by example, and pride! So now youi have the bitch version which I have no doubt you can understand! But I'm sure you'll find something else to bitch about but ~ have to go to work! Why don't you try it?

Ok, who is onboard with clicking on the "flag post as inappropriate" for all those post that have foul language. I have, please do the same. It is disgusting that these people think that the only way they can get their point across is to use such language and filthy insinuations. Hopefully if enough of us complain about this they will pull the comments and monitor these people more closely.

I couldn't agree with you more! The whole point from the starting gate was to be more responsible to your children. My apologies to you for allowing myself to be drug down to their level. Maybe we should organize a parade to promote "love, care, and lead your children by example." It's definately not a childs fault how they got to this world and they are still to be treasured no matter what. Who knows, they may actually be watching US for an example so we should set a good one at all times. Again, to the previous poster, my apologies because I truly am a loving, caring mother and grandmother. Please forgive me for offending you. From a former DHS worker, Every dollar of child support you are paying to that momma (or daddy) is counted as income for that household. There's not a lot DHS can do to FORCE someone to leave their kids in day care (requiring you to pay more child support) and go to work at a job that would just about pay their child care plus $40 a week. What you're asking for is that your child be denied services because you don't think it's fair that your ex, who you obviously had some sort of feelings for at one time, even if they were simply lustful feelings, doesn't go to work every day, or at least doesn't work the same amount of hours you do. Grow up and keep your pants on.

Did you bump your head when you got up this morning causing you visual problems? If you will read the posts again, you will see that I have never got child support because I know who my childrens father is, I am married to him. I also stated that I had no problem helping those who helped themselves and I, too, was a DHS worker for a lot of years so don't preach calculations and bics to me. I have seen every possible scenario you can think of in every public assistance program available including foodstamps, medical, cash-aid, diversion, cws/cps, foster care, etc. As for the dollar amounts you are throwing out, they mean nothing compared to the example that the mother/father is showing the child when he/she is getting up and going to work everyday and if that includes child care, oh well. That is life. You cannot place a dollar value on breaking the cycle of welfare dependency. If it costs more up front, it will more than pay for itself in the end when you have broken that cycle and produced contributing adults instead of another generation of welfare dependents. You are obviously under the impression that I am a man from your statements. Again, first post states I am a woman. I did not state that child support was not getting counted in the household budget, I stated that the same amount should be counted twice, once for each parent, before the computations are figured. There is no flaw in this method regarding saving taxpayers dollars, it is simplicity at its finest. It is a matter of responsibility. Both parents, equally held liable for their "pants coming off," as you put it. The true winner should always be the child, having two contributing, working, responsible parents can in no way be a bad thing. Is this such a hard concept to grasp? I GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!
