Now we have to wait for the world to end.

We citizens can't handle the truth.

Hey, wasn't that line in a movie.

Nice job of back-peddling you're doing. Keep up the good work. A little humor always throws people off of how much of a jerk you've been.

The danger that needed to be addressed,
was how many,
were so willing,
to shred the right to a free press and
discard the publics right to information,
in order to protect some person,
referred to as "RB".

Principles,
(including a free press and the publics right to information),
must be maintained,
regardless of whose ox is being gored.

Sorry that this time it was your ox.

Don't worry, next time it could be mine and I'll be unhappy.

You dumbass fools...

Just got the NGN and guess what? Plastered on the front page is the story about this fellow. So much for your conspiracy theories... your plans to make the media fair... to correct all the wrongs in Union County. HA HA HA.

What a bunch of fools. I asked the question, didn't I, that maybe it was just past the NGN's deadline for the story to be in last week. But NO. All the conspiracy theory fools had to chime in and make idiots of themselves.

And by the way, please don't take anything I'm saying as making fun of this fellow. Looks to be a domestic dispute and emotions get out of control in those things. He did something wrong and he'll have to face up to it, but let's all remember that each and every one of us are not perfect.

I just think it's hilarious that so many of you thought it was some kind of conspiracy or coverup by the MM. HA HA HA. Who could take Topix serious!!!!
Maybe he did something wrong,
or
maybe he didn't.

Many times domestic violence allegations are true, and
Many times they are just used a tactics for domestic relations litigation.

RB, and everyone else is until proven guilty. So a far as I'm concerned he's innocent.

Just hope he has a good lawyer.

You're just twisting words again.

No one was trying to protect a person called R.B.

No one's "ox has been gored," except, perhaps, yours.

In fact, if any damage has been done, it's to the people like you who claim there was a "coverup" or that people were trying to "protect" R.B. Face it, you can't simply admit you were wrong and that the story was just too late for the last newspaper. Can't do that, can you? Too much pride.

This isn't about the free press as your trying to make it out to be. You're just trying to make it sound that way so you don't come out being the ass you are.

It must be so difficult to go through life without a clue a to nuances and focus.

Once again, let's try to separate the issue from the emotion.

By the way, I still have no idea who RB is, and as long as the identity is not withheld by the government or a "friendly" press, his identity is irrelevant to the issue.

The public has the right to know, and in fact a duty to seek, knowledge as to what the the public officials are doing in our name.

Many times cowards among us choose not to know,

(think Germans living next to concentration camps,
or
Americans watching American helicopters machine gun 6 year old children in Iraq on WikiLeaks video),

because they wish to avoid the moral obligations,
such knowledge imposes on any moral man.

It didn't, and doesn't, matter who RB was, or is.

What matters is that we don't hypocritically sacrifice the public's right to information in order to avoid confronting facts we find unpleasant.

The price of avoiding such unpleasantness is too high.

I hope that helps.

Now I fully anticipate a personal attack,
rather than a response to the propositions an analysis provided,
but who knows,
maybe we'll all be pleasantly surprised.

Someone named "Butthead" name-calling someone else and "ass".

Either that is a great proof that God loves irony, or

We have to assume a "Butthead" would be well qualified to identify an "ass".

Where is ACOG's report on all of this, what with her "open records" request. Suddenly, she is silent and out of sight. I'd say most likely she's wiping egg from her face.

I am his friend. He has sold me gas and did me several unselfish favors.
I wish RB the best.
I have nothing but good things to say about him. I hate that he is having troubles and I will pray for him. If he calls I will make bond for him.
There is always two sides to a story. This is the time for all the folks that RB has helped over the years to come to his aid. This is a tough time to be a small businessman.
We all could be in RB's shoes.

Are you serious?? Yes there are two sides to this story. His side: he pulled a damn gun on his wife and kidnapped her. Drove her to Wolf Creek where he threatened to kill her. Then drove her to her parents house...only because she kept her wits about her and convinced him that she would go home with him.....to get some of her things. He lied about a gun being in his car to the police. He has lost his marbles. He should not get out of jail for a very, very long time. He needs some serious help.

Her side: She married a man who did all the above mentioned. Probably lived in hell with his arrogant ass. Was smart enough to finally get out of it and smart enough to outsmart him and get away.

What part of he pulled a damn gun or kidnapped her at gun point don't you get? If you think so much of him then by all means bail his ass out and set him up with your daughter. I am sure he will treat her like a prisoner....I mean a queen. You are so stupid.

Actually she is just off the hook for providing the open request because they put it in the paper. This thread was started by someone else and people asked who RB was and some people felt that he was being protected and the info wouldn't come to light.

They were wrong, he's been outed, case closed. Why continue to make a federal case out of it?!

Sorry to disappoint you but the Sherriffs Office DID NOT HAVE THE REPORT READY WHEN I FILED MY OPEN RECORDS REQUEST on 6/28. They are to notify me when it is ready. I can not report on something I do not have. When it comes there will be nothing to report.

We now know it happened on June 21st by the NGN story. DID THE SHERIFFS OFFICE GIVE THE NGN THE REPORT OF HIS ARREST SO IT COULD HAVE BEEN PRINTED THE WEEK OF June 27th or Did the NGN leave it out?

June 27th NGN shows arrest reports from 6/18/12 - 6/23/12.

Was Ronnie Dale Brown name listed NO!

And I see no arrest report for Ronnie Dale Brown in the arrest reports in the NGN for July 4, 2102.

NOW LEAVE THE MAN ALONE. He was not the one that had any control over the report not being in the paper.

The problem still exist why some names are listed in the arrest reports and some are left off.

Is it the Sheriffs Office or the NGN?

Yes it does. I have no idea what the sheriffs office report cost but if I remember right I think the one at the police department was $5.50.
