At Election Board Office

#1 Aug 2, 2012
I was in the hallway when Charles Duncan, the new editor of the NGN, was asked by a candidate this question. "Are you going to have all the results of all the elections by precinct in your paper tommorrow?"
Charles responded, "Yes."
About 10 of us heard him.
Charles, I just got my paper this afternoon. They are not in there. Why did you lie?
Norm was not my favor person, and he knows that, but at least he covered the election and had the results in the paper.
His politics Suxs, but at least he was Honest.
Does Mr. West know you lied?

Answer that in your column.

Does anyone know the results of the questions on the ballot such as gamblng to support education,$100 limit of contributions of lobbyist to state reps and senators??

I have not been able to find these results. Not in the NGN.

I read Duncan's editorial this week. A Great editorial!

He gave a lot of due to other Reporters, office workers, and even West. A man who is humble enough to show respect to his fellow employees id a Gem for any Employer. West is fortunate to have Charles.

Before Charles came I always thought there was only one employee at the paper as I never read anything giving credit to others.

Relax.

Breath in.

Have a bourbon.

Breath out.

Have a cigar.

It's a little small town newspaper.

Not the NY Times.

Things happen.

Relax.

Since I'm as lazy to change my user name as I am to login on topix, I haven't got around to it yet.
I'm just easing out slowly this week of the vote. I hope to have enough energy next week to change names.
I's gotta disconnect from Slowpok first.

The owner not only knows, he condones and expects the results....There is a reason the numbers were not posted....the county commissioner in both Union and Towns controls the newspaper...

Simple and factual.

But....that will possibly change when the newly elected officials decide to take away the legal organ status...

Heaven forbid should people know the numbers. It's all too complicated for us anyway.

Well, nameless moron, there is a reason for that. There WAS no staff at the NGN. The only staff was at the TCH. I had to do everything, editor, sports editor, columnist, photographer, design and layout, website, photographer, etc. There were no other reports.

Janice did her own thing - a reported to Kenneth. She did not work for me, she and I were equal - simply employees with the same duties reporting to the owner.

So, Mr nameless spineless Tsplost, once again you show your blinded ignorance.

And, yes, it was nice of Charles to ADMIT he was not nearly man enough to take my place and now they need an entire staff. He better thank them, they do most of the work.

BTW, no comment on his lie he told? I was there and heard it also. I chuckled.

There really is no reason to keep making personal attacks.

If you EVER dropped by the paper's building or managed to get around town, you would have seen one person working, one person at meetings, one person taking pictures, and that one person was Norm.

you may be correct. some would call it ego mania. I'm seeing the same here on topix since Norm chooses to involve himself.
I'm also seeing his attempts at bullying the posters, it wont work here as he cant edit our posts.

some still appear to be afraid of him and that is a sad commentary in and of itself. others appear to still gravel at his feet and that also is a sad commentary.
