The Farmers Market was to be for the Farmers and if it was used for that purpose it would have more than an ample supply of booths. It has turned into a flea market and this practice needs to be stoped. Does anyone know what Cummins is paid for his services?

Y'all still bitching about this while the rest of the community is enjoying the market. The pavillion is used for so many events.

I love the market and obviously so do many many more people who fill the place up on weekends.

All these events cost the taxpayers money and cost the merchants a living. ACOG should ask what the income versus the expense of the market last year. Course the way AH moves money around he would most likely show a profit instead of a loss. That is what is going to get him his new suit. I see he is already changing his image so that Bubba will think he is a bad A.

So very true. Some people around here woud whine and moan if they were giving them $100 bills! I, for one, love the Farmer's Market. A much better use of tax dollars than the bloated BoE budget!

Much more important to make a nice place for our old peckerheads in shorts and sandals to fart around in than to educate our children. If we educate them they might rebel and want a decent place to live for their children by having good jobs.

As of my latest ORR dated 3/31/13 Lamar has already spent $1,131,470 on the Farmers Market.

Don't you think it would be a better idea for the commissioner to use the money to pay for the mansion on the hill, instead of keep paying out millions in interest on the building and pouring more money into the Farmers Market. The SPLOST money was to be used to pay for the mansion not a BOND.

Besides the Bond for the Mansion on the hill Lamar spent $591,986 out of SPLOST for the building.

Roads & Bridges $2,948,721

Jail Renovations and Expansion $63,503

County Administration and Annex Renovations $11,617

Parks and Recreation Facilities and Land Acquisition $2,615,157 sub projects include, but not limited to,

The Horse Arena $579,735

Suches Community Center $409,489

Batting Cages $123,420

Library $894,527

Public Safety Facilities, Vehicles, and equipment $1,808,773

Civic Center $249,857

Old Courthouse, Old Gym, and other historic facilities $243,408

Animal Control $148,785

City of Blairsville $735,200

SPEND, SPEND, SPEND

Don't worry Lamar is already getting ready to push another SPLOST can't wait to see what he has in store for the community.

Look at what he has spent on these projects and think back what he told you they were going to cost.

LMBO. Who cares what you found. People are attending the market and it is successful. Most people love our town and would love it more without YOU. Old bitty.

ACOG, you know you're doing something right when they can't attack you on the issues and they are left only with resorting to personal attacks.

I like the farmer's market but found it odd that they were asking for you to help with the fireworks and then you get a chance to win a $1000.00 Why wouldn't they just put the thousand dollars toward the fireworks?
