The Sherriff's Dept. is dropping the ball on enforcing the disabled parking spots at Wal Mart. I am disabled and shop at Wal Mart at least three times a week. More often than not I have to drive around and wait for a vacant spot. Just today I noticed three vehicles parked in Handicapped spots with nothing to indicate they were legally allowed to park there. The County is missing out on a good source of revenue by not enforcing this.

Actually I think Walmart comes under the Jurisdiction of the City Police. I remember something about the city annexing Walmart into the city.

If you are so disabled how are you able to shop so much?
Why don't you just park in a fire lane like the rest of us?

No I think it really shows just how little you know. Why don't you call the sheriff's dept. and ask them.

Bo Bo ,
I happen to have severe COPD , and I would gladly park at the back of the lot if I had lungs and could breathe right. My main point was that at times like this that our Town or County authorities are strapped for cash. this could bring in several thousand dollars in fines , and in the process help keep our taxes from going up !

Or we could have charged more taxes for cigarettes?

And put that money toward special parking for smokers?

Yeah--we all need to pay more fines and SPLOSH tax to cover folks poor decisions.

I can quit anytime I want! just lay them down. How many times I heard that. And well you have to die from something!

You could probably call the sheriff or police department (whichever has jurisdiction) about half an hour before you plan to go to Walmart and maybe they could come out there and check to see if there are any unauthorized vehicles in the handicap spots. Maybe by the time you got there they could have them cleared out. Have you actually called them and asked them to do extra patrols at walmart to check for these violators? If someone reports a problem to them they should be more likely to do extra patrolling there.

Yeah its your fathers fault--and try the fire lane.
You deserve everything you can get because we all owe you something because you are ill and being taken care of in the greatest country in the world.

And keep shopping at least 3 times a week at Wal-Mart.

I hope everyone gets out of YOUR parking spaces and makes sure you have your way.

Your post and your life will work out about the same. Gasping for air and crying "why me Lord?"
