For the second time in a year another school employee has been caught with there hand in the cookie jar. Taking thousands of $$'s for their own use and once again they are not prosecuted. Plus this person is allowed to remain on the payroll until the end of 2013.

When the President of the USA ignores the law and Constitution and the Justice Dept ignores the law and does not prosecute the laws they disagree with, then what would you expect the State and locals to do? They follow by example, just enforce the laws that benefit the politicians and powerful. We need a wake up call in the US. |

Great post. I agree - it's not to late to throw Bush and Cheney into jail, and prosecute them in International Court for War Crimes. |

Curious as to source and facts also. Working on some new stories. If you have facts, speak now or forever hold your peace. All sources confidential.

WMD were found and here's some info regarding it. The lie that none were found is perpetuated by the lapdog media. http://weaselzippers.us/2013/09/02/flashback-... |

Dont ya think its time to file complaints with the Ga. Bar and Ga District Attorney's .on these folks. It is their job to PROSECUTE and take the cases.. Or If the DA refused to do his job the GBI will if you have the evidence and can saw the DA refused after knowing.. And the GBI in some cases investigates the DA's |

Is this post really about a school employee or a post with a hidden agenda? If this is true, and was a school employee, was it a teacher, para pro, lunchroom staff, bus driver, substitute teacher, administrator, or what? The parents and taxpayers deserve to know.

I agree one of the most discerning and objectionable trepidations most well-meaning folks in our community find objectionable is the lack of aggressive investigative reporting of misconduct, misappropriations, and/or criminal threat, or corruption relating to or adversely affecting the security of those within or surrounding Union County. The attitude of our “news” mediums, primarily NGN appear to take a position of complicity in ignoring or covering up those things of importance to the general population. I would suggest; that when the community finds it impossible to rely upon, public elected officials, the media, or the judicial system to recognize the public in their jurisdictions as being adults; and thus view the populace as incapable of understanding and reacting appropriately to bad news; while as well refusing to recognize that the “common people” are entitled to responsive, truthful and dedicated investigations and disclosures of facts or circumstances that may confirm or dispel the publics right to know... is a pompous breach of our security, that of our children, and a betrayal by those elected to represent us. The Commissioner, School Officials, or the NGN, can certainly, without compromising such investigation, confirm or deny that investigations are being conducted. Therefore, Officials could assure the public in general that they are indeed aware of and in the process of appropriately taking corrective actions to be disclosed upon disposition. In my view, it’s time to demand action from those we elect. Do your jobs. We tire of never getting an answer to the simplest inquiries. Should those elected Officials refuse to perform their duties as elected and expected to perform, then I would suggest asking that our New Sheriff, being our chief Law Enforcement Official, exercise his authority, professional capabilities, and resources to investigate; determine if a crime has been committed and take appropriate actions. ********** Just a few addition thoughts: Isn’t the D.A. up for re-election next year? Also, it would be interesting to know: If there was an incident investigated, and by whom? Was any such investigation presented to the D.A? What is his awareness, and action or lack thereof? Again, the Sheriff appears Professional and trustworthy maybe someone should just ask him to look into the issue and let us know something. |

I suggest everyone stop making assumptions about this situation and accept the fact that some things are plain and simply NOT everyone's business. School officials are not obligated nor are they at liberty to discuss personnel matters with the public. That is the reason why board members go into executive session when discussing personnel matters whether they are good or bad.
There are a few people on this forum who feel it is their right to know everything, and it is not. Any information that is exchanged or any posts that are made are subject to criminal investigation, so I would suggest that everyone guard their words carefully and not make statements or implications when they have no clue what actually happened and are not crazy about the idea of being served a subpoena compelling them to divulge their sources or defend any accusations that are made. |
