Crimea just passed their referendum to join Russia. U.S. now has to back up its loud talk of sanctions, which will subsequently force Rusia to take financial actions against the U.S. And silently in the background, U.S. Treasuries have been yanked in Record amounts the past few days. Russia is most likely making good preparation to do as it threatened - dump them, or at least remove them from the reach of sanction freezes. Even more interestingly - China just doubled its daily trading range on Yuan/Dollar transactions. Big moves coming. Planned moves.

QUESTION: Who can explain what would happen if the world turned against the U.S. dollar, and abandoned it as the global currency?

Easy there, David! Don't fall for the usual "media hype" on this. I believe this is yet another attempt to divert America's attention away from the growing DISGUST we have with our OWN government.

You would think the Crimeans would still HATE Russia for what Stalin did to their parents and grandparents. However, the vast majority SPEAK Russian, not Hungarian, and probably see Russia as "stable" as compared to their recently toppled and now "transitional leadership" in Kiev. Look at how life got "so much better" in Egypt- NOT!!

Russia "taking" Crimea is more economically advantageous for Crimean's and, with Russia's Navy already controlling the port anyway, not too much will change. Hungary is a MESS right now- especially with the language and cultural barriers. I'm GLAD the people overthrew the previous "puppet" corrupt government, but CRIMEAN'S and most eastern Hungarians were NOT "glad".

So... how many did Russia "kill" in Crimea- NONE. Does America and the ROTW dislike Putin's "eff all of the ROTW" attitude- hell yes. Should America be offering loads of $$ "aid" to Hungary now or rattling our saber- hell NO!! We simply don't have a horse in this race.

John McCain is an absolute idiotic AZZ and needs to STFU (he is so irrelevant, anyway) and Obama needs to "measure" America's response. Yes... we are not pleased with HOW Putin acted, and China better not get any "ideas" about Taiwan or disputed territories with Japan. But... after Iraq and Afghanistan, just how far does America want to push this HUNGARIAN issue? As a voter and taxpayer, I'd say not too far!!

As for China's currency protocol changes... we've been WANTING this!! It is a GOOD thing! Finally... no other country in the world offers even CLOSE to the fiscal stability and safety as the US dollar... for now. That will change when Americans finally get fed up enough to revolt and overhaul the way Washington is being run by BOTH idiotic parties and their corrupted politicians. Sadly, we both know THAT isn't too far off in the future.

Sorry for the length.

Hi, foolish boy. Thanks for your less than worthless contribution to the discussion. Why won't you identify yourself... Wikipedia needs your picture so users can see what complete stupidity looks like. You are, seriously, a total jerk... best you remain anonymous. Buh bye now.(Laughing at you)
