Sure Jack, uh, Mountain Storehouse, uh, King Kong, we believe everything you say. Now please pass the kool-Aid.

They should just pass out pen and paper and let all the ... county officials write their own stories.
They haven't been doing that all along?

I just love a post with a lot of informative info in it and yours doesn't quite fit the bill. Matter a fact I have never seen an intelligent remark made by you. I guess that's why you just couldn't hack it in the newspaper business.

Here's a thought for you: detective work probably isn't your strong point, so I'd seek a real profession if I were you. Let's hear it for all the "Sherlock Holmes" wannabes out here who think they've got posters figured out... Feel free to tray again next time.

Thanks for at least admitting that you are a stupid fool. We all know that already, but it gives us such a sense of comfort to hear you admit it. And it's really not so diffucult to figure out who you are. Who else would spread such lies? At least when everyone figured out who you are, you went "underground" and started using all those sock-puppet names.

I'm confused. People keep saying that these are old, unsafe cars. According to the opening post they are NEW 2011 models. Those are only 2 years old. These are probably the same people who say the schools should keep maintaining their 20 year old buses instead of buying a few new ones to replace the oldest ones.
let me tell you buddy, when you are having to drive at high rates of speeds in all kinds of weather, under extreme stress to save some ones life you darn right, 2 years old, IS OLD, they deserve to go home to their families that night after saving you and yours, so do not talk about a few dollars saved for a 2 year difference in a car, and now I am sure that Lamar cruises into the office and then to lunch and then maybe out to the road dept and may drifts by the golf course to hang out with buddy Larry and then home, yeah a two year old car is fine, but not for our counties finest!!!! They deserve the best and the newest and best that our tax dollars can buy!!
curious

It's a lease 'moran', not a purchase. And yes you can lease an Escalade or BMW for $780/mo, which is what the leasing is costing the county per vehicle.
You must be Lamar's math teacher.
When you lease an automobile, aren't there usually other payments than just the lease payments? Was any money put down? Is there a price to execise the purchase option? All those factors are usually present when someone leases an automobile, right? Did the "news"-paper article say anything about additional costs other than the periodic payments?
