Maybe, I don’t know. In my humble opinion, he might be better served to seek the genuine roots of his anger, and open his heart to healing.

Studying some of the works of Will Rogers could be helpful.

Certainly useful words of wisdom said in the most humorous of ways.

Two quotes immediately come to mind, appearing to be applicable to (un) informed:
**********

"When you give a lesson in meanness to a critter or a person,
don't be surprised if they learn their lesson."

"After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he
started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and
shot him.......The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut."

Whoa, taking you at you word, if that biography is indeed factual, I just have to ask how did you get by the first psychological testing’s?
Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate anyone volunteering to defend our Country, but the distain you have adamantly displayed for our Founding Fathers, our way of life, the Constitution, Religion, and it seems every facet of our value system in what is paramount to a lunatic’s ravings, just isn’t conducive to someone who should be placed in any of the sensitive positions of trust, confidence, and honor you say you have been allow to possess.
Now, I realize this is simply my humble opinion. Nevertheless, I suspect it is held by many reasonable American Patriots.
As an example, even in the post to which I am responding, you disparage one group, while failing to recognize that the reason our Nation is today facing bankruptcy; actually falls upon a failed leadership in both parties, and as two wings upon the same bird, from both sides of the isle.
You talk of being a Religious volunteer, but yet upon this site you constantly blaspheme the God of Abraham, Jehovah, and anything to do with Christianity, the Holy Trinity or any part thereof - the Father, Son (Jesus), or Holy Spirit. In light of that, how do you choose which religion to besmirch, and for which to volunteer?
No. As I “compare who has the credentials” I don’t believe it is Sarge who needs be more careful; it is you appearing to be the “knucklehead.”
"Now, I realize this is simply my humble opinion. Nevertheless, I suspect it is held by many reasonable American Patriots."

A safe refuge,
huddled masses
bar dissent
declaring unreasonable
all others.

1,000 different flavors
our Fathers designed it so,
yet some insist
only one flavor
good and reasonable.

Oh, those Founding Freedoms
we cerish,
we honor,
we exhalt thee so.
We are the Trusted Patriots.

Until
those others use them
to question motive and action.

Yeppers, please continue this rational conversation.

It's sad that your God has no sense of humor or perspective.

It's sad,(for you), that our Constitution is, in fact, an extraordinarily "liberal" document designed to provide a reasonable compromise between the freedom to personally profit and the need to assure the "common good" and promote the "general welfare".

Most religious organizations truly interested in helping people have no "Litmus Test" that must be passed to accept assistance. No religious organizations ever complained to me about my personal relationship with God, Allah, or Shiva, or Wilma, or whatever you call him, her or it.

They all respected an individual's right to chose, happily cashed the checks, and happily allowed me Andy friends to train local law enforcement in tactics and forensics.

It never occurred to any of the charitable organizations I am familiar with to deny assistance and training to those who believe in the Mayan religion of their ancestors,(despite the Christians killing as many as possible to prove their "love" of God).

Somehow, ironically, Right Wingers have been convinced that they, and only they, are the "true" 'Mericans, the "true" Christians, that Christianity has nothing to do with Christ, and that they are the sole "true" fonts of all knowledge
- when in reality they constantly demonstrate the opposite.

Thank God, that irony is amusing.

Now, now,

Just because the facts demonstrate your conclusions are unfounded is no reason to "double down" on the personal attacks against those who support their opinions with facts and rational analysis.

It only serves to emphasize the absence of any legitimate foundation for your argument.

Although, I did learn to "shotgun" on Okinawa many decades ago. If it makes you feel better, feel free to label me a "doper".

We were all so young, and so brilliant back in the day.
