I rest my case.
If a prospective employer comes to Blairsville to see whether our town would be suitable as a location for his/her factory or business, that's exactly the sort of thing that would serve as an advantage. Meeks Park, North Georgia Technical College, the Farmer's Market, the Reece Center, Vogel--all the recreational facilities and cultural amenities are assets in attracting jobs. It doesn't matter whether YOU like it, it matters that it serves as an enhancement to the community. Which it does.

Its hard to find a local with a high school diploma, that has an acceptable credit score, and hasn't been arrested for a DUI or drug use.

Why not move that business down to Stewart Ave. in Atlanta. I understand they have some real upstanding citizens down there. Why waste your talents on a two bit town like this. You wouldn't mind telling us just what business you own in Blairsville would you. I would hate to darken your door and make your business look like a native might own it.

Not going to happen transportation and lack of local support suppliers will kill it before it even gets started.
That and a less then qualified labor pool in this immediate area is a deal breaker.

What is the percentage of people born somewhere other than Union County? Provide those statistics and we will talk.

What are you smoking? When were jobs plentiful in Union County? My wife has to drive to Gainesville 5 days a week to go to work so the family can have health insurance & a retirement plan to pay into. I work in Murphy. Were things so prosperous under under Harold Cook, the tire changer? LOL
Well, I do not see Lamar any creating any jobs but Government jobs. Jobs that will raise everyone's taxes forever. Is that what you want. We need private sector jobs.

They are not coming. I guess people don't care about all that stuff.
Now we will have to pay for this stuff forever.
