Instead of worrying about darkened windows on patrol vehicles, how about cleaning up the meth in Union County? Roll these theiving druggies up and get them off the streets. If I can spot who they are, I'm sure your team of "professionals" can, too.

How about rolling up the 18 y/o punk and his friends who live on my street that drive up and down a gravel road 50 mph all day and all night running for their dope or selling it? We've reported it - now do something. They rip off stores in the area and have already been arrested once, but they're still at it.

In all fairness, if all the patrol vehicles can't have dark windows, I guess residents who have even darker tint will be cited. Right?

I have little doubt you'll do anything different or make any significant changes in Union County. You see there is a real fine line between cops and robbers.

Good luck, brother,'cause you are gonna need it. In this county, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

You are absolutely right. he is a product of ACOG and Reb Blairsville and all the other malcontent. We had a very nice dirty little town until all the Misfits came along. We had crime both white collar and down right nasty vile type. We had drunks on the road which helped the bars by allowing them to sell alcohol till they poured the customer out the door. We turned a blind eye to spouse abuse because some of the folks that were suppose to prevent it were doing it also. As soon as we get rid of this white knight called Mason we can go back to crime in the streets and all night drug and alcohol parties. I'm waiting for the day when we can go back to the days of the last 12 years.

I am trying to see where your problem with Mason is? You are yelling at the wrong person. If you have been having problems with these people then you should send this message to the current Sheriffs office. Mason has not even taken office yet. I can only guess that you talked to the deputies the same way you did when you typed this message. That may be why you still have the same problems now. Give people a chance to do there job.

I didn't think the person was yelling. I agree with Fed up. The drug problem is worse than the windows and should have been on the top of his list of things to do but it wasn't. I didn't vote for Mason because I know him and don't think he'll do more than put on a good show. He suckered people who voted for him with his big newspaper ads. You'll see.

I agree with you completely. I don't understand why the people wanted to change sheriff's. The one we had was well trained in that he never caught anyone who was in the group and his deputies may have been a little underhanded and unlawful but how can you maintain order in a corrupt county without having a few corrupt deputies. Mason has done nothing but rid the county of a bunch of deputies that he considered unfit for him. They may have been unfit to serve him but they served me and Scott just great. All this ruckus about the tinted windows is uncalled for. How are the boys suppose to get a little strange if everyone is going to be peeping in. Their wives or on a need to know basis. Yes sir I agree with you completely. People aren't going to like a cleaned up county. All the chosen people may have to abide by the law and that will upset them and we certainly don't want that.

If the drug problem is so bad then did Stephens do his job? You are saying it is up to Mason to fix this that he should have this at the top of his list? What was Stephens doing then? Like I said just give Mason and his Deputies time to do their job. I find it funny that out of the ads in the paper all people remember is the window tint.
