Floridian, Careful, he might become one of the people you might have to depend on, because, I presume he is prepaered. He might not be able to post but he could probably be among the first people you talk to, if something happens. You never know who you might run into.
Yeah and the sun might not come up in the morning but I wouldn't count on either one.

The myth of the sun dying and being born again three days later is the bases for the "death and resurrection" fable in the bible.

Not really, but it IS the basis for saying it is when Jesus was born. A certain "christian" religion wanted to entice the surrounding pagans, who believed that was when the sun was reborn, to join the "christian" church, so they took the birth of the sun and said it was when the son of god was born so the pagans could join the church and still keep on celebrating their solstice festival. Just history, anyone can look it up.
Want to know when Jesus was born? He died on Passover and he was 33 1/2 years old when he died (it's in the bible), do the math.

The Death and Resurrection motif probably had its origins in the astronomical display (seasonal progession in the northern hemisphere) and was reinforced by the agricultural cycle. The virgin birth and death sacrifice can be found in many religions that predate Christianity, in other words, these are common themes that have always been expressed by our religions.

As an aside, look at the Cain and Able story, while on it's surface it appears to be a story about the First Murder, it's really a tale about the emergence of the goat herding nomads over stuck-in-one-place farmers, urban vs rural, monotheism vs polytheism, and a male dominated culture vs female goddess culture.

I think we need to put God were He should be in our lives and in America and leave the rest up to Him. He never leaves us, we are the ones who move away from Him.

There has been a lot of speculation even by "the Experts".
My opinion is that it will be the beginning of the end of mankind as we know it.
Meaning that if the grid shuts down, we are going to have to give up all of the modern conveniences that are powered by electricity which practically everything relies on, and the list goes on. We are going to have to get back to basic living and survival.
The results are, most will not survive.
36 more days and we'll find out I guess.
