I was on line at the grocery store the other day and this well dressed woman had about 15 lbs of ribeye and T Bone steaks on the counter and pays for it all with her ebt card. I got pissed standing there with my 5lb tube of ground chuck and cash in hand. I truly believe we should go back to commodity food give aways. Beans, powdered eggs and milk, cheese and staples like that May not taste the best but it will keep you going for a long time and..........If you don't like it, get off your ass and quit living off the "Taxpayers", Governments teat.

The taxpayers have been subsidIzing golden parachutes for multinational corporations for years.

But that's OK

We love welfare for corporations

McGuire got 1.35 Billion when he was cut loose;

Eisner at Disney got $1 Billion when he was cut loose;

O'Neal at Merrill Lynch got $140 Million when he was cut loose;

Fiorina at HP got $40 Million when she was cut loose;

Ovits at Disney got $130 Million when he was cut loose.

Just a few that come to mind.

Hey, thanks taxpayers. Love those subsidies called deductions.

Oh don't forget the $52 Billion a year in subsidies we taxpayers give oil companies.

Wait, sorry, I forget, we love welfare for corporations.

Let's all worry about whether $28.62 is being misspent.

Who cares about $52 Billion.

Thanks to the liberals and their labor unions and epa garbage the gubment now has to pay companies to keep their factories here. The real sad part is no one wants to work in the ones that are still here it will mess up their welfare.

How is is possible to be so wrong, so often.

Working men and women,
paid less than a living wage,
with no benefits,
no health care insurance
no pensions, and
no job security,

attack the only force that can work in their favor, and
worship those destroying them.

Guess we shouldn't doubt that Walmart, G.E., Well-Fargo, Goldman Sachs, etc. don't care about maximizing profit and just can't wait to help out the working man.

Been working so well for us since we stopped taxing or regulating businesses, so who could doubt 'em.

What is blantly obvious from right wing posters who hone in on one issue that is welfare and use it as the cure for all ills. It is total and absolute crap, welfare spending in the US including education is less than 20% of GDP when most countries are around the 23-30% of GDP. However the way it is spent means less bang per buck than most other countries. Instead of working on ways to get more bang for your dollar all we ever hear about is get rid of welfare and the country is back on track. This simplistic view is about as smart as a house brick. When no one looks at big picture stuff including this new republican icon Chris Christie who is just an extension of fox news progaganda. Instead of asking the question why has so many of our jobs especially the non skilled ones gone off shore, its close the welfare books. Nothing about remedies at all , just that all America's problems has been caused by welfare. Not the low tax collected, nor the jobs lost, nor the concentrated wealth, nor the huge cost of the military and 2 wars. All that will magically disappear if welfare is cut. Not the tax cuts for the wealthy , it must be all welfare. How this corporate spin indoctrinates people when faced with those facts is beyond comprehension. Of course business can be conducted off shore cheaper in some 3rd world country where a back hand payment to a corrupt gov official which gets approval for a new factory down by a river. No EPA , No labor laws, nothing. Yes that is what they try to compare Obama's rules and regs as strangling business. Well if you believe that spin I guess you believe in anything else they tell you as well.

If you story were true, then the person making the purchase was probably blowing thru their entire alotment for the month, which is their choice. Frankly, I doubt the truthfulness of your story.

Why can't someone on fs buy drinks and snacks? Just because they are going through hardship, loss of jobs, or medical reasons or down on luck doesn't mean they should feed their kids just bread and milk. They deserve to have some good snacks to. I know it's tax dollars but we sometimes give donations on the side of road that we don't know where it's truly going. We give to ppl standing on corners asking for food. We give to food banks where they may be feeding some of their own! We give to charities, do you know for fact where that's going? You are judging the person in front of you for one time being in front of you at register. The person buying steaks may have made one of you mad but how do you know the person? How do you know that they haven't been eating varied meals for a long time and was down on there luck and couldnt do it anymore b/c they were about to loose everything they worked for and went for help and the kids didn't have a snack or a soda for long time and maybe she just for that one time wanted to treat her or his family something nice? we have to pay taxes no matter what so if someone goes to dfacs and asks for help why shouldn't they get help? I know some ppl takes advantage but how do you judge the one in front of you if you do not know there situation or where they've been!? Although I know it can be hard, we aren't suppose to judge. Times are hard right now and ppl could use a little more support and prayer then judgement. There is already a judgement day... WWJD?:)

and why can't we buy chips at casinos like in California, we could hit it big and get off wefare. At least we should be able to buy lotto tickets. Just because you're broke shouldn't mean you can't have some fun and possibly hit it rich. I get tired of just eating, drinking and smoking all day. When I show up at the ER, it's your fault, and it's gonna cost ya. Pay me now, or pay it later.

Great post.

Rational analysis using indisputable facts.

Wait - we can't have that.

We must hate and battle the millions of Americans just like us; otherwise, we might notice who is really destroying the middle class.

Warren Buffet, the billionaire businessman, had it right when he said, "There is a class war going on, and we (the uber-rich), are winning.

He should know.
