Union County Employee pay scales

[Question]

What do county employees make? I can't find it listed anywhere. I can only find that the Commissioner receives 4.8K more than anyone else, plus an expense account.

Section 6. Salary.
(a) The commissioner shall receive an annual salary which shall be equal to $4,800.00 above the annual salary now or hereafter received by the elective county officer of Union County who receives the highest annual salary pursuant to general or local law. For purposes of this subsection, the elective county officers of Union County shall be the clerk of the superior court, sheriff, judge of the probate court and tax commissioner of Union County. Such salary for the commissioner shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the funds of Union County.
(b) In addition to the compensation provided for by subsection (a) of this section, the commissioner shall receive an expense allowance of $200.00 per month to reimburse said officer for expenses incurred in carrying out official duties within Union County. Said officer shall also be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred by said officer when traveling outside of Union County on official business. The expenses provided for in this subsection shall be paid from the funds of Union County. In the event said officer uses said officer's personal automobile in carrying out official duties, the expenses for the maintenance and operation of said automobile shall be paid from county funds, and such expenses shall be in addition to other expenses provided for by this subsection.

you can go to the commissioners office and fill out a public record request, basically name address and sign it and tell what you are wanting ( employees payroll records) or ( salary or hourly rate of employees) and they have 3 days to get it to you, per Public Records Request Law.

Board of Education is online, you can see all of the teachers and admin that make WAY over 100k, no wonder the school system is broke.

The Commissioner is paid very well, since the code states his pay to be more than any elected official, e.g. Superior Court Judge and Tax Commissioner. Our commissioner is paid more than a commissioner in Fulton County.

Here is the link to see the salaries of our government workers.
It looks like they all have a pretty good gig going on. What is so funny most of them complain about their pay and benefits. Try working in the private sector.

I found COUNTY positions listed by the DCA (Dept of Community Affairs), but it does not list the highest paid elected positions of:
Clerk of Superior Court
Sheriff
Probate Judge
Tax Commissioner
which determine the Commissioner's pay (he is paid 4800 more that the highest paid one of these)
