We like the Beau Rivage in Biloxi (not for gambling but for their scrumptious buffet) and their very elegant first class hotel rooms. We've been to Vegas twice mainly just to see what it's all about... the first time we stayed at a resort called Cancun west of the main strip ... they provided shuttles all day long. We liked Fremont Street (old Vegas) much better than the newer main strip .... we stayed at the Golden Nugget on Fremont the last time we went ... The Fremont St. Experience with their fantastic overhead light shows and their street performers were fantastic and drinks and food are much cheaper on Fremont. I would love to got to Lake Tahoe one day.

My wife and I both enjoy Tahoe, beautiful area, good restaurants plus the casinos---We were married in Tahoe. When we go to Tahoe we usually spend one night in Reno, easy to catch a morning flight, it's OK but if it wasn't for the flight convenience would not go there. We usually take our motorhome to Biloxi/Gulfport area and stay in the RV park at the casino. Nice, but sometimes too convenient!

dont give boo a gun wrote: <quoted text> BooDoodle - do you have no other life than to post such nonsense and hope you get meaningful conversation? I am being serious. You must be a lonely lady. If you would like just to talk, instead of posting ridiculousness on here for every Tom, Dick and Harry to respond to, I would be willing to give you my number. I saw an adviser today, and they suggested I make amends and try to understand you better. I think it is a long stretch, but I will reach out. I have been sarcastic, and I apologize. It is because I don't "get you". But I am willing to try and understand you. You will never 'get me and what I'm all about' by posting negative childish babble all over the place in response to my posts .... I prefer to discuss current issues/events ... not gossip about real people in/around Blairsville GA ... gossip is for little old ladies and tired, lonely people. Now, if you want to discuss issues/current events, then I am willing to meet you half way, but if you continue to respond to my every post with sarcastic, nonsensical babble, then you're not in my league for discussion and/or debate ... the main problem I see with you is flatout immaturity .... why don't you grow up and act like the adult you're supposed to be instead of posting like an 8th grader.

Haven't seen the new Margaritaville Casino, on the gulf site of the Grand Casino. We were staying at the Grand and left just afew days before Katrina hit, and no one bothered to tell any of us, too busy making money!!(Not us, the casions!) Now we go to Tunica, MS, just south of Memphis, TN. It's pretty good, better comps than places out west.

Yeah, my nephew works in Biloxi and he says it's still got a long way to go ... never been to the Tunica casinos although my parents lived in Memphis and are buried there ... don't get to that area much since we moved to the mountains.

It will take some time but the Gulf Coast will come back, especially since the casinos no longer have to be "in the water". In Tunica we like the Hollywood Casino, nice gaming area and fairly decent restaurants.

Sam's now has some new rooms, like the place, but when you stay there it's easy to get lost going back to your room!! Lately we've been staying at the Goldstrike, newly remodeled and great staff. Since Harrah's took over the Grand we don't stay there, we don't like having to "travel" from the hotel to the casino, but I like their gaming area. Back in January I hit a royal for 4K, hello new livingroom furniture!! Surprisingly, Bally's has one of the better buffets and the Atruim Cafe at the Gold Strike is very good. Cherokee let me win back some of my donations last week, what a shock!! For those who haven't been in awhile, they are doubling the size of the gaming area, putting in a very large theater, a third hotel tower and now they do serve alcohol. You can only get it at resturants and you have to pay for it, but they are taking steps...
