Teague, 39, of Ellijay, pleaded guilty Aug. 22, 2012. U.S. District Judge Richard W. Story sentenced him to five years, 10 months in prison and five years of probation.
Teague was also ordered to forfeit $5.8 million that the government said he received from the transactions, plus, all of the real property that he purchased with the proceeds of the conspiracy.
And the sad part here is that he only got 5years 10 months, my bankruptcy stays with me for 7! At least I feel a little better that one of the charges against Rusty is because of my house.

Check the Tax Assessors website or call them.

One of my out-of-touch know-it-all neighbors said that "Owens plans to build 1,000 homes." I told him that was a long time ago and it ain't happening any time soon.

He also stated that the State of Georgia is going to come tell Lamar to allow all the building. I didn't hear that Lamar was stopping any building.

Where do people get this kind of information?
Oh, he is an avid reader of the NGN. I told him not to put too much faith in what he reads. The editor is spoon-fed what to print.

I've heard the same thing, but it is outdated news.
Nothing has happened off Ivy Log for years.
In this economy, I don't think we'll have too much to worry about.

Yep, y'all went into that beautiful area and f'kd it up with roads and tore out trees. God will get you for it. I don't know how developers live with themselves to do such damage to God's country.

For what reason? Do they have contracts already on each house? How many are sitting empty today on the real estate market for sale? What the "State of Georgia" and Lamar have to discuss isn't going to help the situation anymore than the trouble that already is and the more trouble on the way with building. You can not tell Jackass's anything though until they say, "I really didn't see that coming!"

Well someone could buy the golf course and put cows in it. Sit around watching cows get their feet hung up in holes all day I suppose. The best use I could see for it is to give it back to nature. Who can afford to play golf? Do you know how much a good cow can go for at auction? Even with a crippled up foot?

Have some russians come in and build concession stands and put a sign up, to help pay for the burden of getting the cows legs fixed. That is what people normally do as I have seen?

I bet there are alot of other businesses in Union County that wished that UCB would take over their business ventures and keep them going!

Any activity in this subdivision? United has sold off a world of land for new development and at such low prices I don't see much activity in other subdivisions for many years yet.
