ACOG Hires George Anderson to File Ethics Complaints on Lamar Paris
Let's set the NGN 2/1/2012 Front Page story straight.

Emails that George wrote about our great Commissioner and they read more like Lamar was a "Crook",

"If your Grand Jury is corrupt like your commissioner"

"We obtained enough violations of public trust for personal gain by Lamar"

"You have a crook at the helm of the ship"

"Lamar Paris must have low self esteem to belittle people"
"Your documents reveal corruption at the highest scale, conflicts of interest at the highest scale & a very corrupt elected official by the name of Lamar Paris"

"Lamar is a thief"

"Lamar is being very defensive & inquisitive concerning my request.
I believe he is sweating"

"I suspect he is trying to conduct a cover up"

"Lamar denys, denys, denys, just like a smooth lawyer"

Just a few statements made by George in his emails.

NO! Had the NGN interviewed both parties (which all good news reporters do) but our paper does not, they would have known all the facts. They probably would have thought twice before sticking their foot in their mouth on this story.

Do you think it will be listed as a TOP STORY for 2012 next year. I hope so!

Why is the NGN and Lamar telling a different story???

“Pittman sued the executive director of an organization that investigates public officials. The suit was filed in Floyd County Magistrate Court in a attempt to recover money she paid him after she was informed that her suspicions and accusations against a public official in Union County had no merit”

Now Norm where did YOUR facts come from to write that statement or did you make that all up?

“Paris gave Anderson all the information he requested and answered all the questions.”

“He could not find anything to file an ethics complaint on against me,” said Paris.“He tells this group, after going back and forth, he can’t find anything and he’s not going to file a complaint. So, they sue him.”

Now Mr. Paris, Just where did you get your facts for that statement?

“Testimony clearly showed that Pittman was hoping Anderson would find things he could use to file ethics complaints against Union County Commissioner Lamar Paris. Anderson not only did not find any wrong doing, but published in Union County’s legal organ newspaper that there was nothing to file a complaint for.”

Why did George write the two articles about how wonderful Lamar is AFTER we paid him for our complaints to be filed???

July 6th Lamar contacts George Anderson. His letter to George starts off with his bull
“ It was a pleasure speaking to you today. As soon as I knew you were willing to spend a tremendous amount of time you are with kids at camp, I felt comfortable speaking with you. I have dedicated a large portion of my life, as well, in trying to help kids in my county.”

July 25,
From Lamar “My staff currently has one hour involved less 15 minutes. I have spent all morning on this for a total of about 2.5 hours BUT WILL NOT CHARGE YOU for that time.

July 26th “Filed State Ethics Complaints to Sec & Office of the Governor as of July 26th $200.00”

From George “Lamar wants to be my friend”

July 28th from George:“Lamar is worried or he wouldn’t be sending these e-mails”

Lamar to George ”I pride myself in protecting my family name.”

From George “Lamar is being very defensive & inquisitive concerning my request. I believe he is sweating. I will not give him any info before hand. It will stress him to no end”

Aug 6, From George:“I have scheduled a meeting with Senior Assistant Attorney General, David McClaughlin, for next week. Also, Federal Funds are involves & the explosive documentation will be given to U.S. Attorney Northern District, Sally Yates.
August 9, From George:“I suspect he is trying to conduct a cover-up”“He has conflicts of interest”

August 13,“You will like the complaints I will bring to you at the meeting”

August 16,“I’ll email the complaints on Lamar to you”

Aug 20,“Do you want the complaints filed in my name or yours”

Aug 28th “This work has been expensive with so many complaints & Exhibits. Please help me to mail them with a payment to EIGG. I believe strongly, your Citizen group will like the work done, Complaints & hopefully, the changes made from the top, in Union County.

Payment for $372.00 mailed to George Anderson on 8/29/11. Cleared the bank on 8/31/11.

Total of $1602 was paid in full to Anderson.

Complaints never filed.

Now I ask you why in the world would the ACOG expect to see Lamar Paris in court in Floyd county as a witness for a man that had been calling him, a crook, corrupt commissioner, commissioner failing in credibility, integrity, ethical/ moral standing, lier, thief, ect. just to name a few of Georges choice words.

Nathan Deal, Sonny Purdue, ect. they should have had Lamar as a mentor. Maybe that is why Nathan put Lamar on the Ethics Board he can make them disappear. Maybe Lamar can get George to drop the complaints on Nathan Deal too!

Maybe Nathan can create a new Job for Lamar.

Gov. Nathan Deal’s office says he’ll urge a state ethics panel to declare several complaints against him “frivolous.”

Under a 2010 law, that would make George Anderson, who says he’s filed nearly 400 cases against Georgia politicians, liable for Deal’s legal fees.

Deal’s July 8 campaign finance report logs about $62,000 in legal fees stemming largely from Anderson’s complaints.

Maybe it is easier to head the complaints off before they get filed.

If you do and you are suppose to perform a duty for that money it also makes you a crook. I think this little matter may not be quite over as it just a little to pat. Sometimes the best of wine turns to vinegar. I just wish that ACOG needed money to take it to superior court. I'm sure a few of us would have been willing to send a dollar or two. If the Republician party was worth a crap they would have furnished her an attorney.

WHY DID ACOG FILE A LAWSUIT TO RECOVER THE MONEY PAID?

When a person is charged for services rendered as George Anderson said he did like charge the ACOG for So called filing fees for:

Money Paid No Complaints Filed. That was one true statement George made. He had no problem charging us for filed complaints.

Now, Why Did ACOG File a Lawsuit against George Anderson?????

All day trip meeting with Lamar $175.00 changed to $295.00

Reviewing & Studing mailed documents $250.00 changed to $375.00

Prepare Ethics Complaint to Sec & Office of the Governor as of July 26th $200.00 changed to $470.00

Filed to Open Records Request $45.00 changed to $95.00

Please mail the following funds for $372.00 from staples changed to $440.00 plus other bogus charges New Total Bill $2,165.00

Not so smart when you have copies off all the checks for the original invoices and he still has the Original Bill attached to 8 emails after the bogus bill.

Maybe George, Lamar and Norm will like to step forward and tell the truth. Maybe Norm will want a interview so he can win award for getting both sides of a story and tell the truth of what really happened.

Oh That's Right Norm, When we told George we were going to sue him he was contacting you and Lamar and threating the ACOG that you agreed to print his stories. You already had first hand account.

No the Judge wanted to be out of court at a certain time and he stopped everything when that time came around and ended it.

Ask Norm & Lamar how the Judge chewed George out for what he did to us and the Judge told George if he had been a lawyer and we were his client he would be in so much trouble with the bar and could face other charges. You didn't read that either in the NGN.

Obviously, something is not being shared about this because the court didn't find anything damning and either did Anderson. It seems Anderson reviewed all of the one-sided material provided by ACOG and responded, but when he was able to see the whole picture realized he was being dupped by Pittman/ACOG with only half the story. Same with Channel 2 reporter, Belcher. Obviously, no one finds Lamar out of line except for the ACOG and Pittman. I err on the side of the court, Anderson, and the officials in Atlanta who feel that there is nothing amiss in Union County except for these idiots called ACOG.
